Please note that the C&EI railroad was the "Chicago & Eastern Illinois" (not "Eastern Indiana"). I know its small, but it should be noted. Thank you.

As an N scale modeler, I wish Kato would offer the F7s on a regular basis. I model the WP in the early 70s and I need a bunch of covered wagons. I have the Kato F3s for my CZ and love them!

Can we get a video on what actually goes into a Kobo custom? Like the process from ordering to shipping

intermodalman123 Hm. The most interesting stuff happens in a small back room in an individual's home in Japan, and filming it could be a bit tricky, I'm afraid. Everything else is just boring paperwork on our end :)

You need to make your parts more available. The GP35 shells should be a popular item. I custom build locomotives for a living and I can tell you, many old modelers with Athearn "wide body" locos, like the GP35 want me to upgrade their units with kato shells and yes, they do fit with a little work. You have your NW2 shells available and they can be adapted to Athearn sw7 frames. You may ask WHY would anyone want an athearn blue box drive when a Kato is available? Because many old collectors have dozens of blue box Athearns and they cannot afford all new Kato units, but would like the much finer shell from Kato on their decent, Athearn blue box drives. Just a thought.I realize that production at times does not allow extra parts. Thank you. P.S. He needs to remove the foot boards on the Montana Rail Link GP35 and touch up the paint. They were removed long before they became MRL units.

When is a HO uncoupler small track coming like the N gauge one? I need it for my hard to unhook cars.

It is, listed under "Ground level single track wooden tie pieces" in the HO track section.

Those handrails on the ATSF GP35 are a bit of a joke aren't they?

Somehow they managed to get the handrails to be the right color on the New york Central units though. I just wish I didn't have to repaint my Santa Fe units' handrails when they finally arrive. I've been disappointed too often by Kato's color misses.

"Didn't do (ATSF pinstripes) back then"? Besides a simple number change, I wonder what's sitting on my self, then. And wondering why you never offered the SD45 in ATSF pinstripes, when you released the GP35 and SD40 in that scheme. I would have bought those - the yellow bonnet scheme is too new for what I model.

Brian Ehni I have to imagine the one on your shelf must have been custom painted, because we did three different runs of GP35's in Santa Fe, and all three were in Warbonnet paint. :)
