charity hospital was in awful shape as well and they went beyond the believable to save their patients.

I nursed in Baton Rouge, the evacuated patients. It was hell here too. Unbelievable conditions. The nurses did all they could. I know.

If Five Days at Memorial, painstakingly researched and written by Sheri Fink, award-winning book on the subject, is to be believed, those people were killed intentionally despite the fact that they were being evacuated at the time. You might want to rethink your conclusion on the subject.

Of course. these people were going to die anyway. I am disgusted thinking about the stench and the filth in there

shan hayes Sadly there was no point in keeping them alive. They were going to die anyway.

@@kbs1212 the decision to die is each patient’s, not anyone else’s. the material point is that right was stripped from patients given lethal doses without consent nor prior information. baptist was the only hospital to come out of katrina with dozens of unnecessary deaths compared to hospitals that were under similar catastrophic conditions. it’s because the patients were euthanized, which is illegal in the US; addition, patients weren’t even given a choice or informed of what was happening, which is unfathomable. would you appreciate being given lethal doses in a hospital without your knowledge or consent? would you accept that happening to your loved one without saying goodbye and never seeing him/her again? think about it.

in “five days at memorial,” anna was portrayed as above the law. she scoffed at the pharmacist that required her to fill out and sign her prescription pad in order to receive drugs.

I listened to your video with much interest and some concern. While the conditions at Memorial where terrible, that is no justification to kill patients. Anna's supporters love to talk about the hospital conditions as though there was some kind of connection and justification for their actions. The truth is that all nine patients on the seventh floor where killed. How do I know this?Because Anna used to be my friend and she told me that's what happened. One more thing: it was three nurses, nottwo
