I work as a nurse in long-term acute care, basically people whose insurance ran out for ICU but they're too critical for skilled nursing facility. I sang "In Jesus Name" multiple times to very ill patients. I have seen tears in the eyes of two critically ill people days before they passed because of your lyrics and melodies. In suffering they refocused on Jesus! This song also has lyrics pertinent to them! I will be learning this song next. Thank you so much for writing this song. Your story is my story. After my brother died unexpectedly when he was very young, I eventually lost hope over time and lost the will to live. I was his older brother and I blamed myself for his accidental death. I was completely depressed and couldn't find a way out. Even though I was a child of God, I did not go to him for help and didn't even offer prayer for myself. One night I thought that sleeping pills were my only option. But before I could take them, Jesus showed up in my dark room and took me by my hand. Together, we traveled back in time to Golgatha where he was being crucified. You looked at me and said, It is finished! Give me the broken pieces to your heart and I will put them back together. Jesus saved my life that night. He came looking for His lost sheep. And I thank God that He found me!

This song literally saved my life. I suffer from severe depression and anxiety. I was suicidal two days ago and was trying so hard not to give in, and then this song came on the radio. God saved my life yet again. (I've struggled for years with my mental health despite my strong faith in the Lord. )

Every day my heart tells me im not loved and that im not worthy to be cared and im condemned, but i know god cares and he wants me to live my best life. Two years ago I could not walk, stand, or sit up. I could not digest food, I was TPN dependent. This month every single day I have WALKED in to my DREAM research internship at a lab. My doctors and I worked incredibly hard, but, ultimately, this was God, and only God. Only God can provide the kind of story I have been given. Now, I get to use my story as a testimony. Katy’s music has gotten me through extremely difficult times. I still struggle with my health. I get infusions and injections every month, take medications every day, go to countless hours of PT and OT, and have at least one or two doctor appointments a week. BUT I know I am not going through this for no reason. I’ve met incredible people. I’ve discovered God is calling me to be a doctor and a researcher. I’ve grown closer to God. I know it’s gonna be okay. I know these days are gonna make me stronger. I know there’s purpose in my pain.

This song was like the sequel to In Jesus Name for our family. Had a bumpy ride with dad's health since Christmas 2020. Covid to cancer and "In Jesus Name" was our anthem. Now from cancer to more struggles and in March we got to hear "Hold On" live while Katy was on tour and I immediately sent it over to dad. It's our new family favorite. Katy, God is using your music to touch lives. Keep allowing Him to use you!

I love this song so much! God has used this song to speak to me more than once. It is so very special to me because of this! I have a back injury from the early 90's and it has been getting worse as I get older. The last job I had I was required to stand through 10 hour shifts and I was a sewing machine operator so I stood on my left foot all day, and used the other foot to press the pedal. The pain was so excruciating that I couldn't help but cry. One day I was crying from the pain and I got in the car to leave at the end of the day, and as soon as I turned the key this song came on, and I knew it was God telling me that He was working things out for me. The company ended up closing down, and I was stuck at home because no matter how hard I looked for work online I couldn't find a job. I had no money, but I still had everything I needed even though I was out of work for almost two and a half months. I was not in need of anything! Finally, someone who goes to the same church I go to recommended that I should put in for work at the place she's employed at, and I did! I got the job, and it is a sewing job and I am now using a machine that I am allowed to use sitting down. I prayed for this job, and He answered me! He told me through this beautiful song to hold on just a little bit longer, because He was working everything out for me! I have disc damage, nerve damage and neuropathy, but now I can handle it! God is so amazing! Today was my first day, and I just thanked Him throughout the day, I love Him with all my heart and I don't doubt for a minute that this is His special plan for me! I needed to hear this song today. It came on my Pandora when I got in my car after a rather rough dentist appt. I have been diagnosed with a brain tumor and I am rejecting it. God did not do this to me, but He allowed it for a reason. I pray I can be a witness for Him, and that those who do not know Jesus will accept a personal relationship with Him.

I would like to share with you two wonderful testimonies that happened to me this week. About 6 days ago I wanted to warm up some soup in a pot. I completely forgot it on the stove and could have caused major damage in the kitchen. I was sitting in the living room on my cell phone when suddenly someone knocked quietly on my front door. I went and opened the door and there was no one there. When I went back, I heard the soup in the kitchen, which was about to burn. I had to laugh so much, this is the second time the Lord has knocked on my door, but this time to warn me. God, You are just woooowwww... ❤️ I am 100 percent sure that I would not have noticed the soup again until the pot had exploded. I was so engrossed in my cell phone that I forgot everything else around me. And 2 days ago something wonderful happened too. A few days before, during worship, the Lord had spiritually shown me my future because of my marriage, where I was not doing so well and was sad about it, and what would happen if I made a certain decision. And this was confirmed by 3 exact Bible verses and immediately my sadness was gone again. 2 days ago this sadness came back and my heart hurt a lot, although I had not forgotten what the Lord had told me. I also believe in what I saw spiruatly but still taking the one path to the goal and finding yourself under clouds and hurricanes until you finally see the sun again is not easy. I wanted to go to Worship earlier and wanted to go into my KZfaq praise collection list. Before I went in, I noticed a video by Katy Nichole - Hold on. I got a spiritual message that I should watch it. But I didn't want to watch it and suddenly it was supernaturally there again without me having clicked on it. I then understood that it was a video from the Lord and that it was meant for me. In fact, when I listened to it, tears came to my eyes and I immediately felt better and my sadness was gone. The Lord just wanted to remind me of His promise, which we had talked about a few days before. I have experienced situations like this soooo often. The Lord is just... My husband had back surgery on Aug 4,23. The next dad he had a heart attack and a few days later he had double pneumonia. By the very early morning hour he was put on a ventilator. The doctors would tell two months later they never expected him to live once he went on the ventilator. He had numerous other complications in the almost 7 weeks it took to get him home. Why is this song so special? Because it played everyday on the Christian radio station as I drove 30 minutes to and from the hospital. There wasn’t one day the God didn’t have this song playing to give me the hope and strength to keep us both going.

I've been going through a lot of mental health struggles (mostly anxiety) because my parents have been fighting about if I should be tested for a condition that my neurologist blew off because my symptoms are typical for people around my age. For the past month I have been going through an extremely painful process with with God, he's took so much from me this past month that it hurts now. He's took my sin away and has called me by my name, now just when I was starting to see God do so much good in my life I've realized that he wasn't done. I praise him for how he's changed me but now I'm in pain, I feel suffering from what he's doing in my life now. I realized yesterday that God is forging me into the man he wants me to be, that this heat and fire I feel that is so painful is part of the process.
