I remember watching this in "real time" with my Wife, we couldn't stop the tears from rolling down our faces! We sat there, with our surround sound system nearly max'd out just rocking this thing! But this night and watching this had extra special meaning for us and our friends in attendance, we all represent a different part of the LGBT community. I'm a proud queer man, married to the world's most beautiful transgender Wife, one in attendance is lesbian and another in attendance is gay. Under the Trump Administration we felt like we weren't being fairly recognized nor did we feel like our rights were being adequality represented nor defended. For the better part of 4 years, we felt abandoned, worried that our community could be attacked at any time. Watching this brought some in attendance to their knees, not just because they were happy, no, more so because they felt like they could "breath again", we felt like our community had its handcuffs ripped off and that we had weathered the storm! It was also emotionally touching because Katy Perry does advocacy work for gay and transgender people, she's one of few voices that pierce through our darkness and bring light unto the realms. Not a dry eye in the house that night, just a lot of togetherness, kinship, understanding and the feeling of joyous liberation!
