I've always interpreted E.T to be about meeting a person who is so alluring and mysterious that you feel incredible drawn by them. As if their presence stifles you into making you want to figure them out/be with them. Like, if you were a part of their life, somehow everything would be one big adventure. Never boring. Okay, too much thought.

well i find the idea of an alien lover quite appetizing! MMMMmmmm...but then again, i'm a trekkie and i love halloween, so i guess thats how i'm "oriented" LOL! I's say in the trekverse Vulcans, and Cardassians are def on my "to DO" list, hehe. I'd love to see someone write a story inspired by this song....
