I haven't lost anyone like this but I did lose the only guy that's ever liked me as much as I liked him. Long story short, he lost his dad after two months of us being together and then all of a sudden he was a completely different person. He pushed me away and didn't allow me to share his pain so I could have helped him feel better. Six months later, I think it was more than him wanting to be alone. It's too adult to explain here but I think he also left because I wasn't enough for him and he went looking for "that" in other guys. My heart is shattered and I don't think I can ever open up to anyone like I did with him. He brought out the best in me and he was going to take me places. Someone that's been alone his whole life was given love for two months, then in the blink of an eye it walked away just like that. I'm sure someone can understand what it's like and I hope no one goes through the same thing because I still cry at night thinking of everything that could have been and how he's out there with others instead of being with me.
