From AlbertaCanada , enjoyed are time we did have at the resort , we went in April 2018 with another couple . I agree with all that you guys commented on . How ever we did not make it to the North of the Island because we had horrible storm and lots of flooding. Other then that it was great on our 20th Wedding anniversary. We will return . Watching your videos we really want to come back . Beautiful. Thanks for what you do .

I've got to tell you guys; a year ago my wife and I decided to try and vacation in Hawaii for the first time and your videos made us choose Kauai. We loved it, had an absolute blast. My wife wants to move to move to Koloa now, lmfao. Oddly enough this is the hotel we chose to stay in and we loved it for one of the reasons you two state: as far as traveling around the island, It's fairly centrally located. Heading up north was just an hour and a half or so, and heading to the west was just about the same. I enjoyed this video, and we can't wait to visit your island again!

I found your channel by searching for KBR videos since we will be staying there for our 53rd anniversary on Oct. 22! We are staying in a owner condo we found on Vrbo that is one of 8 ocean front for a very reasonable price. Have been binge watching your channel and have really enjoyed it and all the local tips. Plus, the love you two obviously share is refreshing and a great example!

great job you guys ! we stayed here about 15 years ago, when they were the kauai coconut beach resort. they were undergoing a renovation at that time and the rooms were way different. not much traffic in kapaa back then. no 45 minute traffic jams ! be well !

That’s where we stayed in Kauai! I loved it. It had everything we needed. We ended up getting married right there off to side at Nukolii Beach park.

Nice job I’ve stayed at KBR for work several times while setting up events. They always put me by pool or looking towards open park and ocean with no obstructions which is super nice. I’d only say it’s not ideal if your not renting a car as it’s not in walking distance to any outside amenities. As I only 🚴🏽‍♂️ I had to ride to 711 to get snacks. Rooms were very nice tho and I agree food was reasonable I never had pool food but I was a child on water slide weeeeeeeeeee😂 I was only adult using it brought me back to my childhood. Pupus and dessert at lounge was affordable and yummy 🤙🏼👏🏼👏🏼 great pool aloha

We stayed there 2X. Was very nice. Enjoyed your tour seeing all the familiar areas of the resort! Brought back some good memories. Missed the Marathon this year and our annual visit to Kauai and need to visit soon! Keep up the great work!

Stayed here in August. Very friendly staff. Room was nice but slightly dated. Decent buffet and breakfast options. They also have some neat cultural workshops. If I remember right, Tuesday’s are Mai Tai around the fire night. Grounds were wonderful. Definitely would come back.

One thing really nice about Kauai is you can go to any hotel just to visit and check it out. We been to that Hotel and seen a show there. We really like staying in condos. We really enjoyed The Grand Hyatt stayed there twice but $$$$$ for our anniversary.

NICE review! Since we own a Timeshare at the Kauai Marriot, we don't know much about all the other resorts and hotels on the island! With our plan, we can occasionally trade our week for other resorts, so this information is still good to know! With a trade, we've seen the Waiohai and have stayed at Koloa Landing!

I used to go fishing and dive at the marine camp area.

Nice video of KBR. &KBR is actually a Condo Hotel which means there are many rooms that are owned and rented out by independent Owners like myself. Our pricing is lower than the Managed rooms in the Hotel, and you can find many of us independent Owners on VRBO, Homeaway, Air B&B, etc.. If you go left towards Kapaa on the beach is does open up and is less rocky, and it goes for miles towards Kapaa. Good job guys!

Friends lent us their condo in the complex next to the resort. And although it was really nice, the resort successfully tempted us to walk down the road and book an ocean view room for a day. (The roosters outside the condo consistently woke us up at 3:30 every morning.) We were there in early December and the rates at the resort were outstanding. We found the restaurants to be okay, the food a bit speedy but hey, it’s vacation. Everyone was extremely friendly and after we were “resort spoiled” for a day, we headed back to the condo for the last of our wonderful time on Kauai. We did enjoy the Smith luau and the rum plantation while we were there.

Been there several years ago. Good location . Never ate there. Near the airport if you want to do excursions to visit other islands.

I llike what you are doing to inform people of the various hotels on the island. I hope you can do this on their dime soon, of course you will have to be positive, but hopefully truthfull. Maybe work up to Grand Hyatt and koloa landing in your area. There are so many confusing options, plus you don't need permits to video. Hope to see you guys when on island. I swear I see you at kukui'ula everytime I go. Keep up the good work. There are a couple KZfaqrs on the island you should interact with like "whipping with joe". Some day ......

Looked like a nice comfortable stay. I can't believe you live in Kauai and don't have AC, I think I remember in one of your earlier videos that you had a pool so I guess that is useful to cool off but man I have become too spoiled to live without AC. Glad Brodi got to get a good sleep in, nothing recharges the batteries like a good night sleep. Are there any of the resorts that are locally owned or are they all part of larger chain hotels?

Ugh, now I wish that I’d chosen THIS resort! Checking in tomorrow to a different resort, but hey, Kauai is Kauai. Thank you for the video.

Thanks for the KBR reciew, guys! Will be staying in Coconut Beach, Marriott last week of October. Understand that 40 yr old hotel had just finished a total makeover and renovation since we stayed there last October.

Can you tour the waipouli beach resort?

I think that resort is a timeshare resort you can buy a room there for $50k to $90k, but you can't cook in the room and you can only stay there so many weeks a year. Or maybe they converted it to a hotel by buying everyone out . It is not walking distance.to anything and the beaches that are walking distance are all sketchy choppy. Other than these guys, I don't know of many locals going there to eat or happy hour. I seem to think it is a long walk from your car to the rooms. But you are an easy drive to Lydgate beach and anchor cove for food. Left turn is crazy from 7 to 10 and 3 to 6. The highway is really frustrating. For the money, i would go a little more north to the Hilton, and then walk to Lydgate beach. The cheapest and best value is the improved ISO hotel in kapaa. Lipstick on a pig, but close to everything. Including the bull shed restaurant. Finding memorable food on the island is a challenge which is odd due to the prices. Keep in mind you are on an island and almost everything is containered in and most of the protein which isn't fresh is frozen and in most cases pre prepared. I would call Kauai food functional. Also know that there are resort fees up to $40 a day at these resorts vs hotels. Lots of Mula for a.water.slide and a beach chair. Marriot coconut beach is offering cheap rooms now because they are renovating. Their pool is closed, have to go next door . Suggestion::. A nice, newly renovated mom and pop place is the hotel coral reef in kapaa. Good luck getting a room it's busy and the breakfast is Spartan but.go to kountry kitchen The rooms have a good view, close to the trail, close to cafes and restaurants, and are newly redone. But once again, good luck turning left as it is in the middle of the krawl.
