We were married on Kauai in 1982, very romantic, at the Fern Grotto with fragrant jasmine in blossom. My husband and I bore wore lovely orchid leis and we honeymooned at the Coco Palms Resort where Elvis Presley had filmed Blue Hawaii. Our first dinner on the island was a turkey roasted over a spit outdoors with macadamia nut dressing, absolutely delightful! And we had coconut syrup over pancakes for breakfast, a real treat. Wish I could live on the island.

The first time we visited Kauai were so surprised when night time came, as the sunset was just as if someone had turned off a light switch! {We are from Alaska which has a very long twilight time.} Just now it occurred to me to ask, why is it so quick in Kauai when just down the way in Kona { on the Big Island} you have a really long time to view the sunset?

I LOVE this video and these scenes and sounds, THANK YOU.. but all this calm beauty keeps getting interrupted by stupid obnoxious loud furniture and tool ads that suddenly come on every few minutes. Too bad.
