Kavitha restaurant has been around for more than 20 years now and is one of the remaining original Indian food restaurants that serve authentic South Indian banana leaf meals.
While you may already have your own favourite banana leaf restaurant, this place tends to appeal to the old school Indian food lovers. Well, the original Kavitha started here as a humble stall which over the decades, became one of the well-known banana leaf places in PJ.
I lived around PJ for most of my life and have been coming here since their early days, and for the last 20+ years, I have always found their vegetarian food to be rather impressive.
This video actually focuses on the Indian vegetarian dishes being showcased as I wanted to share this with vegetarians around here. Again, I have to stress that their selection of vegetarian dishes is simply amazing as you can see from the video.
I also recommend you go early to avoid a crowd and usually I would go there around 11.00 AM to take away my food since I am doing this during Covid 19 and during the Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia.
