And excellent documentary of the adventure, Margaret! It's amazing, in retrospect, to see how it all unfolded. And I have a feeling that the adventure is not over yet...

What is that that they quilt with in their hand? It looks like they push the needle through with it. How can I make one please?
@atree32 жыл бұрын
Just roll up some scraps, enclose them in a piece of fabric . . .Make it tight.

@@atree3 may I ask you another question please....should you make your quilting stitches as even as possible and your stitching lines as straight as possible or am I being too strict with myself? Your work is absolutely beautiful. I am just about finished my first attempt but still have a lot to learn! 🤗

Margaret, one thing I don't understand. Do the Siddi women sell these quilts? Is this their job or are these quilts only for personal use?
@atree39 жыл бұрын
They have formed a collective and sell from there. I bought 6 from them when I was there.
@wizzlewolf9 жыл бұрын
atree3 Is there anyway we can buy them?
@atree39 жыл бұрын
***** I would be willing to sell one of mine. After I get back from San Diego I will have them photographed and send you pix and prices. Remind me in a couple of weeks if I forget. : )
