The Kawasaki Ninja 650 as the best Sport Bike/Value on the market- What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments or suggest a different sport bike you think beats it!

Just bought my 2019 ninja 650 abs today. It’s my first bike and while I was scared as hell riding it home I already love it. Turns out I couldn’t stop riding it until it started raining. I had some trouble shifting with my alpinestars smx plus boots, not used to the lack of feel, but already thankful for the slipper clutch. I enjoyed the video and agree with everything you said. Glad to be a part of this family

The Ninja 650 is an AMAZING motorcycle. Kawasaki did a great job with the new design. Wish I still had mine.

The 650 is a great “all-arounder”. I have a 2015 that I’ve used for years as my commute bike and couldn’t be happier. 104,000 miles and still runs like new. It’s upright, relatively comfy, great gas mileage, and cheap insurance. It’s definitely not quick, though 😎

If you’re racing a liter bike, you’re sol. But the 650 is fairly quick. Now I know they did something new with the engine around the time of the redesign in 16/17 so maybe they geared the newer ninja 650 slightly differently? Speed debate aside you’re absolutely right, it’s an incredible all-rounder. Nice to hear from someone that owns one and has that many miles on it! That’s awesome!

@@MOTOBLADE Absolutely! Mine has been an absolute workhorse over the years. In fact, it's the first bike I recommend to anyone I run into who is looking into learning how to ride. And you're right about the newer models. Mine is a 2015, which is basically identical to a 2012. The newer gens are lighter and they have more power. Don't get me wrong - and if there are any future riders reading this - the Ninja 650 isn't 'slow' by any means. The 2012-2015 can allegedly do the 1/4 mile in the mid 12's, so newer models with less weight and more power should be faster. I should have said it's not relatively quick. As you suggested, vs a liter bike there is no comparison (I also have a CBR1000). Regardless, though, it's nice to see the 650 get some love. They are, in my opinion, one of the best bikes you can buy.

Amazing and informative video! I’m looking into the 650 as my first bike (Europe A license). I sat on one a few days ago and fell in love immediately, so watching this only fuels my excitement! 🙏🏼

I was just in Europe last week. Was interesting to learn how you guys have different licenses for different levels of bike. In the US we just get a license and we can ride whatever we want. Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching- and have fun on your new bike :)

I got a Kawasaki 300 its perfect for my area, considering the max speed limit on city roadways here are 50km and I can accelerate to that stationary from red light in ONLY 2-3 SECONDS!!!😅

I'm enjoying my '21 Ninja 650 for a couple years now. Great all-around bike and easy on fuel compared to faster bikes. I can get 200 miles at 50+ mpgallon from a full tank before a refuel. Great torque and HP boost down low from 0 to 70, great up hills, and flickable, comfortable, reliable and fun. My prior two bikes were Ninja 250Rs traded in after 35000+ miles each. I have a TFT display on the 650, very nice. The classic analog tach is great too on yours. Cool red Ninja 650 there.

I eventually traded this in for a Harley torque machine (I like cruisers so it was a better fit for me.) I miss that Candy Burnt Orange color on the Ninja 650. Was probably my favorite color ever. I’ve even considered Vinyl wrapping the Harley to match it 😂 the color is sooooo good 🧡

Look for used bikes like I mentioned near the end of the video. My first bike was a Kawasaki Vulcan S. Had 4k miles on it. New it cost around 9k. I got it for 4k cash out the door. Just take your time and search for good used stuff. If a dealer doesn’t allow you to take a test ride, move along. They aren’t worth your time. ALWAYS try a bike before you buy it. You’ll know right away if the riding position is comfortable for you or not. Good luck with the search! I do a lot of test ride videos on my channel so perhaps one of my other videos can help you find a bike you’ll like! I have a couple CF moto videos coming up here soon. They’re a less expensive brand that may be able to help you get into the market for something new that isn’t insanely marked up by a stealership.

Having very little experience on sports bikes, I can only say - man are they uncomfortable for a longer ride 😁Some nakeds are just about tolerable though, I liked the Kawasaki ER6f
@MOTOBLADE
@MOTOBLADE 4 ай бұрын
I agree. Which is why I ultimately traded in my sport bike. The custom seat made a REAL difference THOUGH. As far as sport bikes go this is the most comfortable you could get. But no sport bike can match a cruiser for all day - long distance comfort.

@@theodorstravels my quick cursory research garnered me a little info this morning. It appears as though the current Ninja 650 is the successor to the er6-f. The current Ninja is the culmination of what Kawasaki learned on the er6. Just what I grabbed from Google. I’m sure there are more well versed experts on the Kawasaki lineup out there that would love to expound upon that.

The secrets Kawasaki doesn’t want you to know. #1 - Take a drill bit to the muffler. 🤫😂 Or get a slip on exhaust like an akrapovic. But my way is cheaper 🤷🏼‍♂️
