Hi Guys, Here's a quick video on how to remove the ECU and wiring harness on a 2020 Kawasaki Z-900-RS.
It shows you how to remove the ECU without the need to remove the inner guard and number plate holder. The rubber dampener it is mounted in is quite tightly mounted so cutting the rubber locator tabs will do no harm.
You may have to spray the rubber mounting dampener with WD 40 or brake cleaner to assist the forward removal. I managed with gentle perseverance.
The second half of the video shows the method to remove the wiring harness plugs from the ECU. This is on an Australian delivered bike with a cam lock mechanism and is different from the American bike removal method which just has thumb release tabs.
