Kawasaki Z900RS: Custom LED Turn Signals & Evotech Tail Tidy Install

In this video, I install a set of TST Industries LED Echo Pod Turn Sign and an Evotech-Performance Tail Tidy onto my Kawasaki Z900RS. Watch how I customize the stock indicator bases to fit the small but very bright LED indicators onto the the Evotech tail tidy. Thanks for the tip on the TST relay, it works great on my z900rs with euro-spec LED indicators. I found it easier to fit with the battery removed.

I really like the look of the brown seat on the bike. I prefer slightly larger turn signals to those, but bright is better no matter the size.

Looked at your video when I was looking to fit a broken back signal. Problem is previous owner had tried and stripped the allen head. Any ideas on how to remove it? I tried the usual stuff of using a torx bit. No joy

Tinkering I see. I agree that on the newer bikes, even the "retro" ones, the retro bug eye stalk turn signals just do not look good. But I think those screws at the back were JIS and not Phillips. I need to get myself a few JIS drivers but they are not something you find at the local.hardware store. Does the bike come with an OEM LED headlight?

As always, great vid, BMR. Love that you've gone to that level of detail. I must confess I installed the Mustard Bikes tail tidy with the original indicators. Advantage was that most of the 'bulky' indicator is hidden behind an Aust number plate (which is not as big as a UK one; for example) so only the lens show. But disadvantage - as you have quite rightly pointed out - is the non-LED indicators are far inferior; brightness-wise. (LED headlight but not indicators . . . come on Kawasaki!) Think one could still go with the bullets on a Mustard tail but you'd still have to cannibalise as you have done. Smart thinking!

Well done BMR. Personally, I like the look of slightly larger signals and I am looking to change mine out over the winter. I also needed to carve up my stock rear signals to allow room for Shad saddlebags.
