Kawasaki ZZR 1100 A fast run for a cup of coffee!

Күн бұрынA quick run to meet up with friends for a cup of coffee. Bike running great. Mic became detached so there is quite a bit of wind noise. The type of ride that leaves you with that stupid grin on your face. The grin that ZZR 1100 riders know so well.

I dont really measure but I suppose its about 6-7 liters per 100km. I tend to use the gearbox and never sit in top gear so I probably get it up to 8 on occasion. It is less than my 12r and 14r. Bime like these are not really for fuel saving. I suppose a rider could get much better fuel consumption by sticking it in top gear and riding at 100kph but what is the point of having these bikes if a rider rides like that.

In 50 km you wasted 1/4 of fuel just cruising... LOOOL what a drinker bike dude.

Ha! Ha! The fuel gauge on the 11 is notoriously inaccurate. Actually the ZZR 1100 is good on fuel compared to other inline fours.

@@MichaelZZRrider What´s your fuel consumption in Liters/100km ? My 1998 Hornet 600 needs 5 liters every 100km... Not bad for 4 cylinders and 4 carbureitors of 32mm

Yes mate, I take off the system every 3 years, rub down the headers the and repaint with heat resistant primer and topcoat. I want to keep the original system as I think it sounds and looks great. (Before Cat's destroyed good sound)

Hey man, are you from Paranaque too? Btw I just want to know the price range of this bike in the second hand market and if parts is easily available. I'm planning to get another old-school bike (either the ZZR1100 or a CB1300 Super Bold'Or). I curently have a CB400 Super Four which has parts all around.

Hi mate, yes I live in Paranaque. The price is difficult to gauge. A good one, and I have not seen one, would set you back 500k but most that are available have been ruined by their owners. Ones occasionally come up on Facebook for 250k-350k but they generally require work and many have false papers. The same applies to the CB1300 but they are less likely to have been "customized" (ruined). Spares online are plentiful for the ZZR but you have to buy them yourself as the dealers take ages to get items. Caloocan sales have many of the consumables. Parts are not cheap but that is the same for any bike like this. I believe that you could get either of these machines but you will need to shop around to find good ones. The two machines are very different. One is a balls out speed machine and the other is nice retro. The CB is quick but not in the same league as the ZZR. Either of these machines will give you a great bike as long as they have been looked after. Good luck with your search mate. Ride Fast 🙂 P.S. I am also in Better Living.

There doesn't seem to be any service lane, what happens when there's breakdowns? ...I mean does it cause many accidents?

On the Skyway, which as it sounds is elevated, there is no where to stop. On the ground level they have small lay-by's every km or so. It does cause problems particularly as in this part of the world drivers do not pull off the road after even a small accident. They leave the cars blocking the road while a discussion takes place as to who was at fault.

@@MichaelZZRrider do you have to have a bike license there how hard is it to get aswell on a long ban in the UK lol wanna ride somehow maybe a holiday to a country like that would be good

@@user-hc5si5tw5p The test is not as difficult as those in Europe. It is perfectly legal here to overtake on either side (Undertake as its called in the UK). On the flip side, the roads are dangerous, driving standards are not always as good as one would wish and medical cover in the event of an accident are, at best, sketchy.
