.Anahulu River is one of the most popular kayaking/paddleboarding spots on North Shore Oahu because it is usually calm and has easy access. This place is especially good for kayaking in the winter when the swells in North Shore are usually high. This river is perfect for beginners or those who just want a leisure paddle on their paddleboards or kayaks. If you’re lucky, you can spot green turtles basking in the sun and even manta rays. You can either rent or bring your own kayaks or paddleboards here. Since we couldn’t bring our own kayaks on the plane, we had to rent. There are a few local companies located along the river, making renting super easy.
