I've not tried using a mirage drive however I guess it would work. They don't currently have a reverse drive yet. But I hear that they're working on one. Also if you wanted to be really tricky you could pull the drive out and turn it in the opposite direction and go reverse haha

Also the turning circle on this is incredibly sharp... That means you can get around things quick and easy not needing to reverse. I've never had a problem

@@gckayakfishing Also with the usb what adapter do you use to put it on your circuit

@@Logan_S09 with it being a FPV USB port and my circuit board being yak power I had to cut off the connectors and do it manually! Hope that helps. Otherwise if you go on to the kayaks to fish website you'll be able to find a whole heap of different adaptors and connectors that you can buy to plug and play

Hey mate thanks for reaching out All of the gear that has been installed is marine grade quality gear. First it's not recommended or designed for this however I have taken this kayak out through the pounding surf and choppy waves. Where water was smashing over the front of the bow. In the end when I returned home I had less than 100ml of water entered into the Yak. I say this all to say that obviously it is important after every use to make sure that you maintain by using Inox or WD40 after wiping down all of your electrical connections and stainless. I have been out in salt water 95%of the time as I live on the Gold Coast. I used the Yak around 30 times so far and the Yak & electrics are all in perfect working order. 🙏

@@gckayakfishing That is good if it does not leak much, I have seen complaints on some possibly earlier versions. But electrics and water never mix, I would put the wiring & def the relay box on side out of waters reach.
