I completely agree with you. I was really surprised to see so many negative comments about her voice. Jennifer has a very unique voice and I think when some people hear it for the first time they think its wierd. But, if you listen to all the Sugarland music you see that she has an amazing voice with a lot of range. She is amazing.

I remember being a kid with a tape cassette with Bruce's back side and a red bandana sticking out his pocket ,and all I wanted to do was play that tape and put my bandana in my pocket .born in the USA was just all I wanted to listen to .in a box somewhere I still have that cassette tape . Thanks Bruce for helping me to love and appreciate all types of music. And bless America .

Considering that we got to enjoy it, who really cares about the reaction of the audience. Meryl obviously enjoyed it, and I think so did Bruce. Jennifer Nettles, Sara Bareilles, and Eva Cassidy will go down as some of the female vocal greats in the past century. I was raised on classical, but gotta say I love this woman's voice and her seemingly endless talent.

She's adorable in a goofy kind of way. She adds dimension to this song and I think Mr. Springsteen liked it. A song is only as good as the ways it can be sung.
