Pro tip for beginners. After your set-up and you start backing as SOON as you see the trailer not going where you want it STOP!. pull up as far as you can and turn left if you're too close to hitting the trailer or turn right but not too long and aggressive if you over shot and try again . Pull up and repeat .

Backing depends on many factors for example how tired you are. Everytime it's different sometimes it's easy sometimes it's challenging. The key 🗝️ is slow 🦥 & small turns

Too fast and too much wheel is a prescription for frustration, learn how to push and chase your trailer, it's ALL about PUSHING and then CHASING.. SIGHT SIDE(out drivers window), PUSH it with a Right, Chase it with a left...the basics

Hey I have been driving for 20 years now and I appreciate you sharing this. I just wanted you all to know that always try to make backing easy for yourself. I try my best to make a 45 degree back a straight line back if I have the space to get under the trailer. Try your best to avoid obstacles like other trucks around your cab if you can. Backing is the hardest skill to learn in trucking. Thank you for helping the students out here

Hey kayla hope you doing good. I'm not a subscriber or anything like that. I wanted to say thank you because when i first went to truck school for my class A CDL i was excited and feeling pretty good. until they started talking about the pre-trip and all the things we had to remember for the test and things if we wanted to get our cdl. At the end that day i almost wanted. When i got home and went on youtube i seen your video; this one i'm committing on of course. I after i saw how you were doing the driving and them backup and how easy you made them look, i new right way i can do it too. Well that's what i did, and today i have my class a cdl. Has i'm committing on this video right now i'm in a hotel room getting ready for my 2 day of orientation with ROEL TRANSPORTATION. THANK YOU KAYLA AND KEEP THE GOOD. Maybe one day i'll run into. Great video Kayla, just returning from my first trip with my travel trailer. All pull through sites so no challenging backing but we were on a small road that I missed the turn off back to the freeway. Found a small dirt road that I backed the trailer into so I could turn around and it worked out ok! Also some challenging parking in gas stations and grocery stores that I managed pretty good. With this trailer and my boat trailers I use something you said, turn towards your trouble works every time. Thanks to your sexy girl for helping you record this video!!

I work at amazon I just a promotion for backing up trailers but it's so hard was suppose to test on Friday I cried because I thought I was gonna fail and it was taking me and amother girl a long time so wasn't gonna finish the test on time we got lucky and our other trainer was able to extend us 2 more days this coming week but I'm scared it's hard some people are slower to learn then others I'm fast learner other things but this one is harder I don't even back up my car lol. I know the concept and what to do but I either turn too much or not enough and when I finally got it straight and align where want to go when go straight back it drifts that's my worst is the little wiggles and moves to get it in there I don't want to fail test help

Thanks or the video and info. Watching someone else do it is at least helpful, though as you point out, it has to be experienced to better understand what is actually involved.
