Oh my days! I’ve just read through all these comments and it’s great! A few pointers - 1) the show is heavily edited and the producers do the most to stir up contention. They constantly pressed me to comment on Kayode in the interviews and I’m sure they did the same to him. 2) This was 6 years ago and me and Kayode are actually friends, we even got on well on the show between filming (you spend A LOT of time with your fellow contestants over that week) Kayode actually came to speak at one of my events a couple of years ago. I think he’s great and am really proud of all he has achieved 🙌🏾 3) Yvette and I went to Kevin’s 50th and met all his friends and family which was lovely 😊 4) Yvette and I still keep in touch. She is very sweet 😊 5) I really wasn’t trying to goad Kayode about the carrots 🥕 honestly it was just an observation…and it’s his fault for f&&king me up on Italian Spritz! 6) Yes, I’m fat 😃 7) The person who goes first NEVER wins and I knew that going in. 8) I have LOVED reading all these comments! I agree with Sarah being honest and saying the carrots were undercooked, but what I don’t agree with is her not dropping it. It seemed like she was purposely egging him on, hoping for a negative reaction.

Sarah is absolutely lovely. Not to mention a stella host. Her cooking is right up my alley. She has my vote all year round.

Yvette's dessert curdled. Whenever you have a protein/fat binder like egg yolks, you have to slowly stir in the cream, sugar and chocolate. Best thing to do is be slow and steady!

I don't think that Sara's timing was the great issue here. He can't stand to be corrected or judged so he is definitely on the defensive. Sara was being her version of light. Yep he's a bit ignorant. Kayode doesn’t eat meat, then complains about fish and wait, doesn’t eat mushrooms either…what does he expect people to make for a dinner party for him? Maybe he goes straight vegetables at home, but had they only given him vegetables I’m guessing he’d have complained about that too because he’d say it was too simple or not a complete meal. I get that this is a competition but the people who compete by being determined to complain ruin it for me. Why not win bc you are the best, not bc you picked apart everyone else’s meals, especially considering how sensitive you are when the others do the same? Very simple menu for having impossibly high standards for everyone else.

I think it's fair enough for people to comment on the dishes, or to criticize a participant who's truly spiteful (not the case with anyone in this episode); what's not O.K. is personal abuse. I like & admire the courteous & humorous way that you've responded to the negative comments, and I hope you'll remember that such an attitude is far more valuable than a cooking contest prize.
