This is pretty accurate, but there are a couple things you got wrong. 1. The fanmade games one was after the boredom (and in) 2. My content creation phase only lasted a month But still this is the most accurate thing ever!

I’ve had gorilla tag for a while (GT1 badge) and I’m still learning routes and skills. There are always more things to learn

you know, gorilla tag FELT different before. when i first started, it looked different than it does now. not as in it added hundreds of new things, but it was new. and thats when i felt best playing the game.

I'm just a guy that loves improving technical skill levels in any game really. And gorilla tag is the perfect vr game for just that.

I feel like there’s a solid chance that you rather than going into all 10 of these phases, after the learning phase you could just go into a casual phase

I am proud to be a stage 10er. started in around mid 2021, played comp for a while until it became too toxic. I don't play as much as i did, but i enjoy playing every once in a while.

you were kinda right on the modding part. Legal mods are mods found in the official gorilla tag modding discord, and only work in modded lobbies. Illegal mods are mods that aren't in the official gorilla tag modding discord, that works in public lobbies and private lobbies. they are legal if they work in private lobbies where you are the highest up on the leader board, since you are then what most people call "Master", but I call it Host.

This actually is so true and relatable, I’ve gone through pretty much all of these lol

1. Discovery: Yes I heard it from Jmancurly. 2. Learning: I actually asked someone to teach me but also taught myself as I went. 2.1. Learning Routes: Personally, this is kind of an easy step, especially in forest. 2.2. Learning Tricks: Ok, when I saw the slide juke I was like, "Im gonna do this" I kept going until I actually got 6 times today. Also, doing wall stuff is kinda hard. 3. Obsession: I am in this stage right now, I love it but I also get mad very easily. 4. Boredom: Me? Bored of Gorilla Tag? I HAVE A GORILLA TAG KZfaq CHANNEL!!!! I don't ever think I'm getting this stage. 5. Come back: If I do get bored of Gorilla Tag this stage will probably come to me very fast. 6. Modding: I am half in this stage, I don't have mods, but I've seen enough videos to want mods. (Also mods aren't illigal if you are in casual, unless you're ghost trolling. Banning and kicking are probably the only two FOREVER illigal mods.) 7. Content Creator: I am in this stage right now I started like 3 weeks ago and I'm already at 47 subs. 8. Pro Player: I really want this stage but I am nowhere near getting it. 9. Fangames: I am in this stage but still more in the normal Gorilla Tag world. 10. Senior: This is the furthest away from me because I have only been playing Gorilla Tag for 4 months so I don't know that much about it. 11/Bonus. Conspiracy: I kinda believe the "ghosts" but some I don't. When I first downloaded the game, the first 3 or 4 lobbies I was in, had "ghosts" the last ghost I had terrified me. It had no name, was black, and was pretty fast.

As a gorilla tag player whos been playing since the canyons came out, I went through all of the first 5 stages (except the obsession stage) and I only go back when I want to chill but also want to play a game, or when a new map or glitch comes out. Then i play for a week or 2 and drop it again. I never really developed many skills other than branching, slightly above average wall climbing, and being overall good at running away from the taggers. Which is also why I never really picked up the game again. I used to consistently be the last one alive but I'm not as good at that anymore and i was hardly ever it so I don't have tagging skill either.

Even though I have watched this video already I can’t stop coming back I get so much nostalgia this is such a good video keep up the good work

You were very close about the modding thing! While mods that give you an advantage in public lobbys are illegal, there are mods like mono sand box or bark, that do give you advantages, yet they can only be used in modded lobbies. And great vid! Very relatable

this is 100% accurate. I used to play Gorilla tag everyday, but now, i just go into lobbies every 2 days and just chill. I wouldn't consider myself insane at the game but i am pretty good. i have played for 2 years, i used to want to go pro but I have now realized how hard that is. if there are any toxic players in a lobby i usually just tell them to shut up, and if they dont i challenge them to 1v1. After they join i usually beat them and leave. its very funny

My obsession stage was way longer than you portrayed lol. It was around like 2-3 months for me. And that was in the music update.

i mean,i did go through all of these stages and the description of them is absolutely right, i dont know why but i didnt do them in order like for example, when i was in my modding phase and even before that, i tought some monkes or new players how to play the game and the basic mechanics this is all true but in my personal experience if being a gorilla tag player these are not in the order i played them out

I remember I was new at this game, but that was like one year ago, but when I was new, I started playing every day until three months it and I got bored until lemming made a new update for once in his life so I gave it a shot again, and now I am mid pro and plan on continuing for a long time now.

I’ve been playing since around march of 2021. I’ve never gone to any stage above stage 3. I haven’t quit the game ever and I’m still learning and playing today. I average around an 1 and a half of playtime per day for the past 2 years so not to much play time. I could be a senior but I stopped teaching people because the past 4 months I’ve focused on practice.

I think it's hard to get bored of gorilla tag. There's always one person at least that will be able to catch you, and if nobody can, the interaction with other players by itself can make it enjoyable

I hit all of these. The comeback stage was something I hit after I left gorilla tag, to play Echo VR, well until it shutdown but after playing GTAG after almost 3 years, I can relate to most of these.
