SpraggieEdits it’s better live..he played a snippet at afropunk 2018 and it went over really well..takes a few listens..def not a standout I agree but not terrible..I’ve heard worse from P and he’s my fave too lol

They spoke about every song except the one song that stood out to me... ‘Need It’ with Masego again. It’s INCREDIBLE. This album just showcases how amazing he is at his work. The transitions are so smooth and effortless!!!!

Every song I like, is a remix by Kaytranada. Like I legit cannot listen to the original version of anything he remixed 😭. His version of everything is just better. He fills in those empty spaces in music that people dont always think to, i love that. I can see how it's difficult to rap or sing over some of his stuff if you don't understand music and counts and cues etc. I'm a dancer and its hard to not be basic over his beats because there's so much going on in the music. It has actual layers. Its hard to create to, but its fun and the possibilities are endless with tracks like his.

Good to see him mention Madlib and J Dilla as his main influences. His sample-based stuff, even tho it's dance music centric, makes it obvious that those two really made an impression on him. Album is bandanas. I've never heard Teedra Moses, SiR, Kali Uchis or Tinashe, especially, sound the way they sound, until they hopped on these Kaytranada tracks.

I just went back to the videos I recorded during his set this past summer and he played Go dj , puff lah, oh no and worst in me..I had heard midsection at afropunk 2018 and 10% was played during pitchfork fest ..so I had heard 6 of em..he stays sneak playing records ...yes I’m a dork and a fan girl thanks

In the latter half of 2020 now and I've listened to BUBBA much. It's replaced all the parties I would have went to if the pandemic weren't so bad in the U.S. Honestly I think it's one of my favorite project of all time now.
