Who knows? It may have even be a tie again. It would only depend on how the developers would put it on paper. Still, really wished Majima would be more valued in the franchise and games.

⁠⁠⁠@@luizazul3689He is valued in the franchise a like a dragon producer held a poll for fans to to express who their favorite character in yakuza is and he was number one which appeared as a shock to lead producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto plus he has his moments In the plot as well once kiryu’s story is done for good maybe the mad dog might take us on a infamous adventure once more

@@8reasonsghost901 That's why I said "more valued." He has moments (aside from Yakuza 0 and Kiwami 2), but only that. What I mean is that he could have the screen time more frequently.

Sidelined?! He was never in the line to begin with. He had been a supporting character for 10 straight years until Zero came out (not including Dead Souls). Zero was basically conceived as a fan service prequel spin off hybrid which for some reason is now perceived as a mainline entry by modern fans probably because much of the modern audience started the series with Zero.

The argument of Majima being "sidelined" would've made sense if Zero was the game that was originally conceived back in 2005. But the fact of the matter is, Majima was never intended as a main protagonist. He was always intended as a supporting character.

Majima was my favourite up until 6. That was when Kiryu took the #1 spot for me. And the ending of Gaiden was what set it in stone for me.

Kiryu was my favorite since I saw him first in the opening of 0. I really liked Majima’s introduction, but I placed myself in Kiryu’s shoes much more. That relatability never left for me, so he’s always been my favorite

W Opinion but after what happened in Gaido? Kiryu wins High diff, I personally love and enjoy Majima more but you can't deny Kiryu is better well written and fleshed out as a character Ideology and Depth goes to Kiryu as well imo

Probably Nishitani or Lao Gui The only other major guys he fights as a protag are Lee, Awano and Ibuchi and none of em fit the bill as a parallel to him Lao Gui representing what Majima would've been had he followed orders blindly and killed Makoto, being a mindless killing machine drone And Nishitani being the Proto Mad Dog basically
