I was just reading AnOther magazine, and I saw his quote, and came straight to this video: "There are an infinity of ways in which you can move from that spot over there to here. butoh dancing has to be some of the weirdest most avant garde dancing i've ever seen. at times even creepy and harrowing as in the case of the silent scream. Yet at the same time it's extremely fascinating!

Hey celeste! your right about it being dark and scary but i couldnt find myself to get into it like you did. Eventhough its not the type of performance im interested in , it was unique. you should look at the orisha's again because their energy and festive costumes are so uplifting! and they also interacted with the audience so the audience was able to be apart of the performance annd feel what the dancers felt :)
