審判の穴も感じますね… 試合前のボディーチェックのときには、道着を着ている…ルール説明のあと、セカンドアウトのときにはじめて道着を脱ぐ… つまり秋山の体のチェックは試合時の状態で行えていない。 秋山サイドの作戦なのかとも思えてします。ルールの穴、審判の試合運びの工程の穴を着いた戦略的手順…道着を脱ぐタイミング これに違和感を誰も感じていなかったところにもルールの緩さが感じますね あと自分もこの試合を観てましたが…秋山有利のマウント状態の際に抗議をしたために、レフェリーも止めていいのか判断にかなり迷ってる様子があった、 その間にも相当数のパウンドを被弾してしまっている… 審判の判断の重要さが問われる試合なのかとも感じます。 桜庭も１回目のタックルがカットされた際には、抗議してないのか？気づかなかったのか？ 滑る！と思ったときにちょうどマウントを取られ不利な体勢になってしまったから、レフェリーが判断に迷ってしまったのかな？ また秋山と清原の組合せって…… ドス黒さを感じるなぁ 秋山、試合が終わったら、早々に道着を着てるのも怪しすぎるな

I know that he admitted it later, but when they checked him right after the fight they said he wasn't greasy. It wouldn't all just disappear that quickly.

The ref should have stopped the fight way earlier around 7:35 I can't understand why it took him so long

Sakuraba never complains period unless it is truly justified! (ie. The NC incident at UFC JAPAN 1997). But other then that this is a man that took a fucking beating from Ricardo Arona while getting his cut on the face and eye GOUGED and never complained once during the whole thing!

Akiyama himself partially admitted he had put oil on the body, though he said its not intentional. This reflects the fact that there are good Zainichi Korean moral and law abiding citizens while some like him do whatever, even illegal things to win game. The fact is their crime rate is around double to triple times higher than the Japanese.

아무리 일본이 싫다지만, 그래도 이건좀 아니었던것 같다 ..파이터가 경기중에 스톱해달라고 손짓하는 경우가 굉장히 드문 케이스 인데 그만큼 베테랑이 느끼기에 이상했다는 건데, 고의가 아니라지만 잘못이 없다고 볼수는 없을듯

I guess it was that lotion that had sakuraba eat all those punches in the stand up... Sakurabas low blow was probably more of a advantage to Kazushi than how slippery Akiyama got... You get slippery front sweat after like 2 mins anyway...

I'm new in all of these and i have a father who is learning karate but I still don't know well, so: i read that Akiyama has a 3rd dan black belt in judo and Sakuraba has an honorary black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. are they the same in terms of ranks since both are different martial arts or one of the two is considered better/stronger/higher?

Having a black belt in Judo or BJJ is very prestigious, these martial arts require generally more time put in to get a black belt then other martial arts such as karate, taekwondo, etc. There is no way to rank one black belt over another, that's why they compete, fight etc. to prove their status. In BJJ, if you win the worlds, pan ams, or ADCC you are probably among the best in the world. Same with Judo. It all depends on how credible your training and instructors are leading to your black belt. A black belt under Rickson Gracie, or Saulo, or Marcello Garcia for example means SO MUCH more than a black belt under a nobody who has never competed.

6:50 다리 잡으려는데 안잡힌거 가지고 로션드립 치는거 같은데 저것 때문에 반칙이면 커팅나지 말라고 얼굴에 바세린 바르는것도 금지 시켜야 되겠네 ko될 펀치 미끄러졌다고 할수 있으니까ㅋㅋ 글구 님말대로 심판이 ko선언 늦게하고 추성훈도 선배에 대한 예우로 힘껏 때리지 않고 심판 눈치보면서 살살 처주고 있는데

That is the worst time to stop the fight, Sakuraba almost had an arm triangle. So when his face is getting pounded away, it's ok, but when he almost gets a lock on Akiyama, the fight HAS to be stop??

The lock wouldn't had worked. He didn't really have a good hold. I think the ref didn't stop the fight earlier was to give Sakuraba a chance to make a comeback. Horrible judgment from the ref.

Yeah, as people have already said, that was definitely not the case. He was caught on camera greasing up. And apparently the ref was paid off or something, because another official, when asked about it, said, "God knows what happened and will judge those involved." Anyway, the official alluded to wrong doing, though he didn't come out and say anything.

If you watch this video without impartial eyes, Sakuraba ate a big punch at 5:50, that he never recovered from. Sakuraba's take down attempts were trying to grab Akiyama's ankles. Lotion didn't make impact the match, since it never got close to a ground game.

추성훈이 잘한건맞는데 결과적으로 룰에 어긋나는짓 한거는 맞고 일본인들에겐 전설같은선수가 무너지는게 안타까운거지 왜 한국입장에서만 지껄이는걸까 더군다나 k1은 일본무대란다

They caught him on video putting on SIX bottles of lotion before the fight. Japan also had a commission that couldn't catch Mark Coleman, Ken SHamrock, Don Frye, Wanderlei Silva and Bob Sapp to juicing. They also didn't seem to have a problem with referee's wearing earpieces after several fighter had complained they heard instructions to stand up fights and interfere when the wrong fighter was winning.

one of the most disgusting moments in MMA history. Lotion, brass knuckles, and as far as I and many others are concerned...the ref was in on it. POS, and to a legend like Sakuraba? This fight would have been over after the first single if that scumbag didn't cheat

lol they caught him on tape backstage oiling up. he denied it till the video came out then admitted to it. Saku was complaining about it the moment he shot that sunk in single. well before any strikes from Akiyama. BTW we've seen Saku fight 20-90 minutes and take down far better fighters than Akiyama.

they caught him on video lotioning up in the locker room. he then admitted to it on national television and appologized. When has Saku ever been known for complaining about a loss? He's fought the very best reguardless of size and never made excuses when he lost.

No matter if he apply lotion, when you sweat you can become slippery. Sakuraba was a good fighter but I'm sure Japan couldn't accept his lost so they had to blame something. Akiyama was really korean so they hated seeing someone who's not Japanese winning, given the history between Japan and Korea. Even today the hates still brewing.

Although some may say that Sakuraba kicking the balls was cheating, I think it was unintentional. Such things can happen in the heat of the moment. However, his opponent applying oil on his body was low..THAT was certainly intentional and poor sportsmanship.

I don't get it, the ref and commissioner checked Akiyama afterwards and said they couldn't find anything slippery or greasy on him, seems to me that Sakuraba was just whining.

I believe Akiyama could win this match even if he had not used lotion. He is strong enough. But AKiyama apparently violated the rules. And It is obvious that it made this fight more profitable to Akiyama. He should be more shameful on what he did. I completely back commotion's decision for no contest and exile of Akiyama.

Akiyama has a long history of cheating in Judo tournaments as well. He fought against Kenzo Nakamura, a former Olympic Judo champion who in the first few seconds stopped the match and complained about Akiyama having a slippery gi. It has happened on multiple occasions. And its not like Sakuraba accused him because he had lost, he was yelling at the ref to stop the fight the whole time. At 6:53 he even drops his guard to signal a time out to the ref while Akiyama continues to throw strikes.

he did complain during the match. he's yelling at the ref about it right after his first shot and even as he's taking punches. Akiyama was caught on video oiling up in the dressing room and admitted to it on Japanese television.

Lotion did not play a role in the win, Akiyama was robbed by racist judges who were pressured by racist Japanese fans and started by a sore losing Sakuraba.

In kickboxing and mui Thai sports world who try this greasy method gave more Respect to Akiyama than to Sakuraba.. Greasy or not is nothing if u are good at fighting.

Sakuraba(Japanese) was not able to catch a foot of Akiyama(Korean), because Akiyama put cream on the whole body. This game was no contest, and Akiyama was confiscated fight money, and permanent exile from FEG tournament. Akiyama does not understand meaning fair play. I often witness the cowardly conduct of Korean in other sports or other field, and in youtube.

Jon Cho Yes, Akiyama is called "nuru-yama(ヌル山)"in Japan. It mean, nuru=slippy and yama=aki"yama"

Regardless of whether Sakuraba is weak or not, Akiyama definitely committed a foul. They are two different things. What is bad is bad.

Are you serious? Sakuraba has beaten many foreign fighters like Vitor Belfort, Guy Mezger, Royce Gracie, etc. On the other hand, Akiyama has been beaten by Vitor Belfort, Jake Shields, Michael Bisping, etc.

비열하고 치졸한 사쿠라바 누가봐도 실력이나 기량 차이가 월등히 추성훈이 높은데 어디서 되도 않는 바세린 핑계를 대고 있냐 부끄럽지도 않냐 한때 프라이드때 일본인이 정말 강한줄알았다 허나 지금 UFC에서 일본인이 쪽도 못쓰는 이유가 뭘까? 정당하게해서는 이길수기 없기 때문이다
