He is an intelligent kid but he learnt a very important lesson that while intelligence and cofidence gaurantee success, over-confidence guarantees failure. These lessons cant be taught in books, they need to learnt practically the hard way. Having said that, i was actually surprised to see his parents react in such a way.

Be honest. He didn't lose because he was overconfident, he lost because he didn't know the answer. Second, why can't a little kid be overconfident? Third, exactly why do you think Amitabh Bachchan is in a higher position than a little kid? Age? Because he is famous? More popular? The only valid reason is he is the host of the show, but we are talking about a little kid here. Fourth, overconfidence doesn't guarantee failure. This must be something you read in a book. Being overconfident is rude, that's it. Fifth, will you be saying that if he had won? Sixth, if he was underconfident, he will not be participating in this contest in the first place.

I felt that he was over excited and not over confident. Sitting in front of Amitabh, under so many cameras and the audience. All kids are like that, they are innocent and not mature enough to pretend. He was being himself and that was being a kid. Secondly, I am proud that he did not quit. Life is full of risks and to pioneer something or achieve something big, one have to take risks. Keep it up boy. Parents were also not wrong. Wow, this young boy is absolutely, incredibley intelligent. Having said that, I believe he needs to learn humility and modesty.
