Feel the same way.. The son should've come on the show with his concern of how his mother treats him.. Her communication skills are so lacking that her son and her husband are scared of her. There should be a fucking test you need to pass before becoming parents😭

Absolutely agree. She makes such a big deal out of small, harmless lies that her kids become afraid to tell her the truth at all, because in their minds they will get punished for anything they do wrong. So they lie about it, then get caught, then she canes them, and they get even more scared so they lie even more and the lies grow and eventually they will get better at lying too and they will become a bigger problem. I do get some of her frustration regarding the lies that put her in a bad spot (because no one likes that feeling) but over all she treats all lies like they are the worst thing ever and it's damaging the kids.

Bushra Abdi Little kids not always lie for no reason. Obviously she’s been abusing him since he was a kid. The kid should’ve been sitting in that seat

She did that with zero shame because she thinks she has the rights to do so. Often parents who do this to their own children are self-righteous, thinking that they are always right and punishing the children because they “deserve” it.

I agree with u ! She needs to understand the mv clearly too ... at this really young age she is so into that .... and the way she looks at her grandma when she cried make me soooooo angry . I understand that she is still young to understand and think for other people but stilll .....

ARMY/ ReVeluv my two grandparents on my mum’s side are like that. I love them more than anything in the world and i would take a bullet for either one of my grandparents. It makes me so unbelievably angry that she isn’t returning the love that her grandparents give to her. I ought to slap that girl. Even though i love my grandparents so much already i always feel as though i’m not doing enough for them. My worst fear is acting like her towards my 婆婆 or 公公 (i’m chinese), i’d probably wake up doused and drenched in sweat. Brb lemme go tell my grandparents i love them :/

It's obvious he's not just scared of her but she's physically and emotionally abusive towards him. It's scary. They say spare the rod and spoil the child but it is also said that you use one hand to beat and use the other to pat your child.

I agree with you too. She's probably what? Like 9-10 western age and she's so addicted to her phone. Yeah I understand she's lonely but she's way too spoiled. Not only did she tell her grandma not to speak, but the way she looked at her grandmother when she was crying.... I'm disappointed in her :(

I can tolerate my cousin (gr5) who is being raised by my grandparents (same awesome people who raised me) to use her phone as much as she wants to, in ways that she lets me know BUT (1) she shouldn't talk back and (2) make sure that she helped around the house first. It's not difficult to help around the house and kids should learn that. The way she talks back and reacts when her grandma cries annoys me a lot. She is lucky and I doubt if she knows that.

I'm not defending her but sometimes when I see these comments I want people to remember that Korean culture is very different from the West. The laws concerning this are very different as well.

She is not a brat, she is just 11 and she is coping with loneliness the only way she knows because no one is teaching her the right mechanisms. She is a very lonely and sad kid who tries to seek validation and comfort on social media. And you can see how she is unable to express her feeling when she says "Crying is not good" and the discomfort she feels when she sees her grandma cry. She is sad too but she won't express it because she doesn't know how to do that. She doesn't even remember her parents and her grandparents don't pay much attention to her either and her grandma keeps on talking about college and she opposes her dream of becoming a celebrity. And on top of that she has a severe addiction. And I'm not saying it's the grandparents fault, they are old and tired and they still have to work hard to rise a child again, It's so so hard and what they do is admirable. I also think she should be more respectful to her grandparents I agree but instead of just calling a kid "a brat" try to understad their perspective too. It's a difficult family situation and everyone is suffering.

I understand her situation and how is it hard to live without parents and im so sorry for her but god her attitude towards her grandparent are unacceptable like what’s their mistake? All they do is for the sake of her life especially when her grandma mentioned the text messages she got this is a serious problem!!! Any mother would have been worried.

Watch her replying to the mcs and how she publicly shamed her grandma in front of the other adults with her annoyed look “why did she have to cry on tv.. 🙄”
