I never got why fathers get so protective over their daughters it kind of freaks me out and I'm kind of happy that my father trusts me enough to not do things like giving me bracelets with gps installed

I'm pretty sure they were joking around with the whole gps tracker thing. And the reason why fathers are usually protective of their daughters is because they know what kind of men are out there and just the idea of those men interacting with their "daughter" can really set them off. Of course all dads are not like that, but some are really protective which is still okay, then there are the overly protective ones which can be a bit illogical. Like for example, my dad isnt fine with me roaming late at night(I live in India) but he's ready to send me on a solo trip to Japan. It depends on geographic factors. Many (again not all) Indian fathers are really overprotective because India in general is not that safe for women/children.

i think is cultural. like i remember my mom fighting with my dad because he didn't treat me like a princess. he was kinda harsh and the only thing i remember he taught me BECAUSE i was a girl was to scream back if a man said something nasty to me on streets. a lot of people around him tried to tell him he had to try and be different/softer with me and my sister and i guess he and i kinda believed it at some point. today, however, i am glad he trated us all the same. women are portrayed as weaker since ever? so i guess it's logic for fathers to be overprotective and stuff.

Try raising a daughter or a sister and you'll understand. Before, I was always complaining that my parents are too strict but now that I am raising my two sisters, I finally understood. In this world full of many scary things, a parent should not be too carefree.

I am so thankful to have a father like mine hahaha. The two talking about how they will control their daughter is too much for me to endure. I was talking a while ago with my group of girl friend about parents who are to strict with their daughters, and we came to the conclusion that the girls who are crazier and end up doing a lot of things behind their parents are actually the ones that are more "controlled" by them. But well, it's not in all cases, but a lot of them it is.

LEE HWIJAE AND THE TWINS ARE THE REASON WHY I STILL WATCHING THE RETURN OF SUPERMAN! I heard about Hwijae's father issue, I feel so bad and mad!! I hope that will not make Hwijae give on this show! Because I don't think I'll ever watch this show without them from the first place. Hwijae is a good son, husband & father, those people who involve with his father's incident are just cruel! I feel like the twins' time on the show is coming to an end only because both the Kelly and Park families have been officially added to the roster already. Usually when a family decides to leave the show, a new family is introduced within their usual time slot in the next episode however this time around the twins were given the SoDa siblings time slot while two new families were introduced mid-show. Additionally, Sam and William weren't officially added to the roster until it became clear that Rohui's family would not be able to film consistently (despite having been "introduced" several episodes beforehand.) I feel like the twins will either be leaving or they will be alternating weeks with the Kelly family (since they weren't in this one) like Rohui and William used to.
