Joy Celine seriously tho. I'm rewatching the triplets episodes because I'm pregnant right now. When I first watched them I told to myself I will definitely take notes of Ilgook and his wife's discipline ways.

You know Ilgook was one of the best dads on this show because not only did he take care of triplets alone so well, but a lot of dads copied him after this aired (how he disciplined them as well as how he played with them, always taking them to try new things), both on the show & in S. Korea in general.

I really like how Minguk dance whenever there is music, Daehan who keeps an eye on Dad's backpack all the time, and Manse.. who eats pizza from the middle... lol

daehan is smart. all of his brothers run into that floating car while he is dragging his fathers backpack. he knows they might leave his fathers backpack. he has a sense of responsibility.

I love how Ilkook says thanks to every little good things his kids were doing, like when Daehan brought his backpack although he didn't need to, or he didn't even asked to. It simply makes the kids feel much appreciated. Most parents don't even bother to express their gratitude towards their kids.

They are very good at being parents. When the dad said “we take them away from their siblings because when they get in trouble or yelled at in front of their siblings, they feel shame and we don’t want them so feel that way” I wish my parents do this to me because my mom yells and scold at my sister in a nursing home hallway. I felt bad for my sister because lots of people looks at us :(

Unfortunately most parents to do that. They unfortunately believe that the child won't do it again. It's true the child won't do it again but it's not because the child understood but because they feel ashamed and have their confidence levels go low and lower.

I feel your sister. When I was in 4th grade, my mom yelled and pinched me inside our classroom in front of my classmates. Other students from different classes also watched everything. It was traumatizing. Until now, that scene still haunts me while my mom probably forgot about that.

Honestly I do this when I help out at a pre-k summer camp and I find it does work better because then the kids dont feel resentful for being embarrassed in front of their friends and act out more

They all had their tough times but I think Daehan really did well. Staying at the bottom, he kept his position so well that all 3 of them were delivered safely. Had he not been strong enough to support the 2 on top of him, their mom could have had miscarriage. Daehan, you did well! 👍 Please continue to grow up as a kind, loving and responsible child. 💕

Mar. 4 , 2020. SIK is the best dad in the world. He is the dad for all season. Not only the best dad, a triatlon, good in everything. And very good looking pa. The only thing he can’t do is sing.

Curious to hear what you have observed. I noticed daehan also does the same cute behaviours but sadly sometimes unnoticed 😭 But we all love daehan because he's just such a sweet eldest. Hope he'll grow up very well.

I think it's primal instinct right there. Since Daehan is the firstborn, he naturally feels that he should be responsible. It's not that he doesn't get attention, it's because it's too difficult to actually see everything that these three do. Even Minguk has these moments.

It really is such a good idea! And so simple, it's surprising a lot of parents don't think of it (or maybe just don't care 😣). Because I remember my parents did this a lot to me and my brothers; being scolded and punished in front of each other WAS embarassing, and it does kinda subconsciously plant the idea that you're the "bad sibling." It garners an unconscious competition/heirachy amongst you, and often there's underlying resentment, ie. "my parents scold me more than my siblings, so they love them more than me".... tdr it's just an example, and my traditional upbringing was a long time ago lol

I’ve been reading a lot of comments of how they feel sorry for Daehan because the dad gives more attention to the younger siblings even tho they are the same age but if you watch closely, Daehan, he himself chooses to step up to the plate and plays the role of the bigger brother for his younger siblings. The whole backpak situation shows it all. His dad didn’t tell him to go get the bag, he just did it because his dad was busy trying to take care of his younger brothers and it was almost as if he felt he needed to take care of his dad because no one was helping him with the three of them. It’s like it’s instinctive for him to act that way. And him having to do things by himself, I don’t think it’s true because he can choose to wait for his father to teach him something but he chooses to do it on his on. For example when he wanted to go into the water and the dad was busy with the other two. He could have waited longer for his dad as he approached the water, but you tell on his face he didn’t want to wait lol.

I would say it’s because the parents have conditioned him to act like a Hyung to his younger siblings. Like in ep 1, his father would instruct him to read a story to his brothers while the dad needs to cook. In other little ways, I thk that’s how Daehan learnt that he needs to help to monitor and take care of the younger ones

The Song triplets' names happen to form a popular Korean cheer as Daehan means "Korea," Minguk means "Republic" and Manse means "Long live" or "Hurray." So altogether the triplets' names mean "Long Live the Republic of Korea." This, together with the young boys' popularity, make them irresistible for campaigns.

Don't know where you are, but my small city on the Atlantic, just north of Boston, Massachusetts, just had it's first case of COVID. Schools & stores were closed beginning of the week. Most of us are in self-imposed quarantine. Too bad kindness couldn't spread as quickly as Corona huh?

Muhd Hidayat first of all he’s not a stupid dog he’s human. It’s good to acknowledge children for their good qualities even the bad included, but no one deserves to beaten over something they can change especially not a child. as a firstborn, i really do feel for Daehan. oftentimes, he had to try new things by himself or do things by himself because Ilkook had to tend to Minguk and Manse. especially when they walk together and Daehan is always tasked to hold Manse's hand. even with that though, i really commend Ilkook and Judge Jeong for recognizing Daehan all the time. i shed some tears when Ilkook mentioned how Daehan stayed underneath his brothers for 8 months in the womb and how he stayed so strong up to now.

Hwijae disciplines his kids perfectly fine. You shouldn't judge a parents way to make their kids behave unless they abuse the kids, etc. We don't even know the twins and Hwijae personally so we can't judge

please don't make it appear that the father played favorites. i have observed that he always paid special attention to the child that needed it most during certain situations, not because one is the eldest, or the strongest. each of these kids showed their own charms, their strengths and their weaknesses. i admire Il Kook for having done his best in these early years of his children's development. i am sure these kids will grow up as kind, loving, and smart adults.

I think that's impossible to not admire Ilkook. He haves such a beautiful devotion, care and love for his kids that it warms my heart everytime. I love the way he disciplines the boys, I admire so much his patience! They're such a beautiful family! I hope someday I could find a husband like him 💜 The boys are adorable, I love them so much! They made me so happy in a very hard time, they're so pure.

I've been so captivated in each of their little worlds and personalities. I'm even rooting for them when they accomplish something and get appa's praise. But at 22:58 I laughed out loud because I was reminded that the triplets are just random babbling babies 😅I forget that other people like the waiter cannot talk to babies 😆 This show is really good at capturing how well Song Ilkook communicates with his sons.

Rewatching this and I just realized that Manse is actually sucking the Rice soup before chewing and swallowing it. It's actually common in kids here in Asia doing that. And mostly the reason why it takes them time to eat.
