The world of snooker will never have a player like Ronnie Sullivan. Excellent technique, experience and very high control over nerves and psyche and having a special charisma made Ronnie Sullivan a player who wins whenever he really wants to win.

It's crazy to think that Steve, Stephen and Ronnie have about the same number of world titles between them as brothers Joe & Fred Davis (No Relation to Steve) had claimed in their time :) Class act to have all 3 legends in the studio and it doesn't get better than that.

Not to disrespect Joe Davis, but I think we have to discount him. He used to organise the tournament in his favour: in some years it was just one match against his wife, who was blind.

⁠⁠@@mm9773to be fair that “quip” was disrespectful to Joe Davis. You’re right in that the (in the beginning) , the format of the competition favoured the champion but it remains true that no one could beat him at that time. And Joe David himself was not responsible for the format.

@johnp515 it's unfortunate for him and not his fault at all but his time period hardly anyone played the game and for him tk win the world title is wasnt ever a challenge. So as much as its not his fault you can't compare Joe Davis to Steve Davis, ronnie or hendry or any of the greats from the past 50 years.

Talking of the Davis brothers - I think it's incredible that Fred Davis, who turned pro in 1936 (not born in '36 but turned pro), played against Ronnie in a 1992 tournament!

In the Eurosport room they had a guy with a dead racoon on his head and Neil "ill" Foulds who tried to give Ronnie the flu, and BBC has 2 legends of the game and a great presenter.

Eurosport broadcasts way more snooker than the BBC, so for real fans it's not about hairstyles, it's about watching the game...maybe playing a few frames against a guy in a tupee down at the club ;)))

Amazing to think that Ronnie thinks he's not playing well and struggling but making final/winning/being in contention in most of his tournaments he enters, where in where most people are struggling they bomb out constantly for 3-6 months, he's just on another level.

the bbc snooker just does a much better interview with such deep insight that we audience could not know and feel if we only watch matches alone. They are simply a different class than the Eurosport.

@@stewartmcrae8007 I think it will be Stewart and I'm making another prediction. Ronnie will win The Masters in January making it his eighth. Add that to the win in Sheffield in the spring and Ronnie will have eight of each Triple Crown tournament for a grand total of two dozen. That will be bloody brilliant and I believe Ronnie can do it!!!

@@christopherrichardson5352 yes that was my thought the other day as well now that he has won the 8th UK he needs the masters and world championship as well it needs to be 8 across the board it will probably be good for him in these China events that he has lined up as well if he is going there as the current champion of a triple crown event it might be more lucrative for him

Three legends. Ronnie is the most naturally gifted player, he reminds me of Senna. Davis is the Professor Alain Prost and Hendry is Michael Schumacher, the greatest of them all.

If all on there best day its Sullivan, Higgins,White,Hendry then Davis. Hendry and Davis won by opponents having bad days and if Sullivan,white and Higgins are at there best they are were unbeatable
