Some more info I gathered: not sure on MC gender, but every other character will be female with some male MCs. Some have compared it to Genshin and Palworld, though the latter part is incidental and may draw from Pokemon more. The real question is monetization as AL has a skin heavy one, but not sure how it'd work and Genshin's way may be tempting. But Manjuu would be willing to give a character away on Anniversaries. There's been whispers in the Azur Lane fandom of a new game by Manjuu, though the assumed game was Azur Welkin (AL but with planes) Though part of what was fueling suspicions were certain in-house artists being busy and a decrease in money put back into AL Given AL's history, we'd have a "Genshin would never" (give you a truly busty fox babe). If Manjuu starts cooking like they did for AL.... My feelings are mixed as for one, if effort was put into a 3d AL, it'd have gone better than crosswave. That and I feel Manjuu would shift its focus to this and EoS/maintence mode Azur Lane (long story involved), but I can't deny it looks nice and may shake things up as it wouldn't be the first time Manjuu took a swing at a giant and doing real damage (Azur Lane vs Kancolle)

I don't know if I'm the minority, but I'm really not a fan of the art style and it feels bland to me. I don't know how to explain it clearly, but the characters all look the same to me and their outfits seem super basic. But that's just my opinion. Hopefully I'm the minority having this opinion because a lot of people seem to like it.
