The Church wasn't opposed to the idea of Saints or Mary appearing to people - that wasn't the problem - the problem was the way Johanka handled it, as she should have approached the Church instead of doing her own thing, which sends wrong signals. Her intentions might have been good, but she let her pride cloud her judgement: that the Bishops concedes that if she has further visions he will be sent for so that he can look into them shows that he stands by the Church doctrine of blessed intercessions, as long as they are properly examined.

I got the "Whipped but not killed" ending. I was so fucking confident when she said "I regret preaching unlawfully" or some shit like that. I was so proud. That pride turned to shock once the Balif said "Take her!" as the guards tied her to the pillar. I had done everything correctly. I gave her the dice, I called out the swordsmith's wife, I did all I could with the nobelman, and I got as many witnesses as possible. Except for the tailor. I had failed to persuade the tailor's husband to quit playing dice, and I think THAT is what caused me to not get the perfect ending. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get him to wager all his money. I'm considering replying this whole quest just to try and save her, but it's probably not worth it.

Damn, I just got her killed in my first playthrough. Had to come to YT to find out if I could save her. Thanks for the vid... it's still helping people two years later. I will reload a dozen times to save Joahanka, if I have to. She's my favorite character. I wish Henry could end up with her instead, but at least she'll live happily ever after.

God, that line the priest threw out at the end of the verdict threw me. "If the Virgin Mary should happen to visit you again..." Basically the closest he could get to saying, "Even if nobody else here believes you, I do."

I liked this side quest. I also liked the Inquisitor. He was calm and good person. He was diffrent from those all in culture.

Hello White Locks, been a while.. if you remember me at all ;) Thank you for this vid and the long version (part 64) both of which I used for my own playthrough. I started with this one and read many of the comments here. Without you, I would very likely have run into a bad or ugly ending, hehe :) Although I didn't follow your steps, I managed to avoid crucial mistakes such as forgetting Matthias's die (actually, it's one die and several dice) but that was kind of bad that I knew about it beforehand because all the time I was wondering how to pry those dice (or, that die) from a Matthias you could neither talk to nor pickpocket him. Turns out that the game kind of forces you to go to him once the time is right and he just hands it over, lol. I decided to stay true to my own thoughts while playing (I've always doubted, both in role and in real life, that Johanka really saw Mary in her dreams) so I always avoided dialogue choices the likes of, "it really is Mary," and instead always used the doubtful choice. I never mentioned the Waldesians or what they were called to the Inquisitor. I stole the document from his little chest in his room in order to be allowed to talk to Johanka which I found out even before I watched it in your vid :) One thing I was slightly worried about was in Sasau, the Bailiff.. I found him outside the tents of the bathhouse in the middle of the night and tried to bribe him to speak good about Johanka but when he reacted offended I talked myself out of it and he said he'd ignore my attempt lol So.. all in all, I got the good ending despite trying that and despite being doubtful regarding all that religious stuff and despite not mentioning those Waldesians. And I like that Warhorse made it possible to get the good ending by simply sticking to the truth (we don't know what was going on) but also if we chose to believe. Anyway.. I love this game to bits and only recently bought this DLC. Thanks again, your vids are great :) edit: typo..

I am surprised by how Sir Sebastian changed! I was really shocked when I first saw it in my play through. I disliked him a lot before

I got the bad ending. So, I decided a little rough and tumble justice was needed. Katra, dead. Sebastian Von berg, dead. FATHER FABIAN!!!!!!??? DEAD!!! I did not kill Fabian in the church (Note: I don't call him father anymore, because I feel like he betrayed his vows.). I let them all see who I was before I killed them so they'd know exactly why it was happening. I had to kill a shop guard with Katra, and I feel badly about that, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

How do you get her to "admit that she may have been wrong about some things"? In my run through i did everything the same except that she stood by what she said, criticised the church during the trial, and i ended up with the "Bad" ending. How do i fix this?

This quest made me use half of my schnapps just to save her, but I'm glad I got the good ending, although I ended up spilling father Godwin's secret to the Inquisitor to gain his favor

You should do one of the worst possible ending. I think it'd be funny to see how badly the trial can go if Henry screws it up.

watched until 5:00 and i admit: impressed by the vicinity of that game to the reality (or at least what we know today to be such). Won't watch more, i do not want to be spoilered everything. But i grasp the logics behind the needed argumentation. Anyway when Johanka decided to preach, i yet guessed what path it would walk in times when guys like Hus were hung for such deeds.

I'd have gave them work in my town too. Glad that option came.

Both Her and Matthias died in mine,i did everything as best as i could,yet rng screwed me over with the last skill check and he got angy with the whole Sebastian and her doing the deed and because during the forest revelation,one of the skirmishers died 🙄

This is the best ending? This is the ending I got and I thought I got he bad one. I kept half of pavel's money, tried to bribe baliff and people died at the fighting and also I let the heretics escape in Uziths.

Got the trophy even though I slept with Adela. He says the Bishop lived near Israel, but there was no Israel until 1957. It was Palestine until 'they' did a Genocide on the Palestinians. I like the Inquisitor, wish we still had them, we need another Inquisition.
