When I was nine (1970) I went to a week long youth camp at the San Pedro Lighthouse. We slept in tents right on there on the front grass lawn. Cabrillo Beach tidepools were the highlight of activities during the day.

Went to a lot of parties there! I grew up with Dennis.

Just a little addition to this at the Korean Bell just below the landing there is a cliff over looking the park where the lighthouse is and there is a old track installation where the old naval gun sat that defended the cost in that area from the Japanese during WW2 just go towards the coast from the bell and you will see it before the small cliff overlooking the lighthouse and park. The park below has small alcoves with benches overlooking the coast there is also a sinking city to the left if you are looking at the coast, it is off limits to the public but people still go there its a little hike but worth seeing it. Look for a small path by the far left wall. Lastly and this is no joke THE RACOONS in the trees there are loud and very aggressive they also will be along the cliffs so be careful at night if your smooching with a girl or eating.. great park by the way one heck of a free day trip ..

I love San Pedro! What a great episode...I've been to the Korean Bell but didn't know about that fabulous house or the lighthouse. 8:33 mark...who is the smiling woman on the couch? I saw Huell back up and face her at one point. 🤔 Could this be Dennis' wife?

Did you ever open the safe in the ground by the dog house? If so can we know it’s contents?🤔

Such great historical sites including parks and conservancy trails but unfortunately San Pedro is one of the worst crime infested neighborhoods ever including the corrupt harbor division LAPD.
