Yes here's some facts about how popular they are: SEVENTEEN broke the historical record in Oricon that no other foreign artists achieved for the past 42 years and 11 months who topped the weekly chart again in three consecutive foreign albums. (Left and right song) Even before SEVENTEEN officially debuted in Japan, they managed to held their concerts with over 50,000 fans for their first ever concert in 2017 which was before don't wanna cry era! Considering that the group hasn't even officially debuted in the Japanese market yet, the boys were able to sell out concert halls just by their 2nd solo concert. A Japanese inside source stated, "I'm surprised at SEVENTEEN's skill to fill the Yokohama Arena Stadium, which is difficult to do for even the popular artists in Japan. They also topped charts in Japan's tower records and Oricon. In 2018, before their debut, svt gathered about 110,000 fans from their concert (Japan arena tour 2018 which is from this video) in three cities (Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya). After their Japan debut in 30 May 2018, they keep broke many records and their fandom in japan was getting bigger. As SEVENTEEN’s leader, S.Coups (Seungcheol), has stated before, “SEVENTEEN is growing very quietly.” While the CARATS, doesn’t have the loudest presence on social media platforms, their sales, on the other hand, boasts the group’s accomplishments that's why ppl keep underestimated svt popularity & success. Their first Japan cb single, "happy ending" even charted with most weeks on oricon for 84weeks (1 year 6 months)!! It's also surpassed twice and bts single.
