hi, last year my friend got her acceptance email on aug 14 and the convention was going to start on aug 18! so it was only four days before the con for her

it was only a few days before the first day of kcon! everyone got their emails at the same time, it wasn't spaced out or anything like that. but the exact time was 3am on august 14th (KCON LA 2023 started on the 18th). good luck with the audition!

i think it depends on the dance, i did my own improvised pose for ONE part of here i am for zb1, but it was SUPPOSED to be improvised like that because that's what the original choreo called for. if you aren't supposed to improvise in any of the dances you're auditioning for, i don't recommend doing your own pose, just do whats in the tutorial that kcon will post! kcon never explicitly said that it was okay to do my own pose, but i just assumed that doing my own pose is what the judge wanted to see. there's a lot of people who did and didn't add their own poses that still got to perform on stage!
