If you’ve watched Madrid at all in this competition they always start slowly and once they warm up they are absolutely clinical on the counter. Man City didn’t capitalize in the beginning of the match and got out with a draw, luckily tbh. City need to show something different at home or else it’s Madrid in the final again.

Real Madrid we’re trying desperately to put the game away at home, Man City were clearly holding back and focused more on defending than constant attack. And yet the game still ends in a draw. Man City at home will be trying to put the game away, they didn’t leave 2nd gear against Madrid, that’s clear to anyone that watches them play regularly. I don’t think Madrid have much more they can give than what they tried in the first leg

If Real goes through it will be because they have the best goalkeeper in the world. Courtois has improved immensely with his feet and was already the best shot stopper on the planet. The deflected shot from Rodri is a goal if Ederson had to save it. Courtois had saved the vinicius shot, it was a good shot but not in the corner.

I don’t understand how people can still characterise players as being “too good for fullback”. The creative ability of top full backs in world football is more than the attacking midfielders and this is the new position. I suspect these types of players will now be found in full back or DM positions where creative ability is headed.
