KE-Jetronic - Can you use the diesel injector testers? Yes, but....

For K/KE-Jetronic injector testing I would get around a 150psi gauge. Connecting the supplied line to your donor line will be your responsibility. Either using an adapter like I did, or brazing the to pipes together. A donor line can come from a junk engine.

As it turns out. the course thread injectors like on the m103 fit straight onto the tester out the box! The adapter is only needed for the fine thread injectors.

I brought 1 on those other ones and yes it hurt $$$ - Im sure Enzed or any hydraulic fittings place could come up with a solution to adapt something to the Benz injection Thanks, David always informative 😉

You could just use a length of high pressure hose or pipe, hang it up vertically and have the injector fitted to the bottom end. Fill the hose/pipe with diesel and add an air hose connector to the top. Set the compressor to the required pressure and apply pressure to the hose/pipe with the aid of a blower trigger. I did this checking the injectors of my 560SEL. Please let me know if you see any flaws in this procedure. Corrective comments are appreciated.

Coincidentally i showed this method in a previous video. Yes it works fine, just need to make sure the hose is kept clean and only use clean suitable fluid, ie diesel or kerosene. In my demo i used what i had on hand which wasn’t appropriate, it disolved the hose interior and blocked up the injector. But yes your method works and has been used by the pros for years

@@MMWA-DAVE Thanks for your reply. I always follow your videos with interest. I like your methodical approach and picked up a lot of useful info. I made myself a fuel distributor flowrate tester as well. Using 8 clear plastic hoses vertically mounted on the distributor outlets. Pity I can't attach a pic to the reply.
