I adore Gatti and losing him would pain me.. but if thats what it takes to bring in Calafiori, we really can't afford to miss out on him in my opinion, no matter the cost.

maybe i’m looking at it from a sentimental point of view but to see us losing so many academy grads in a transitional season for us kinda pains me. i was really excited at the prospect of a generation of pure juventini developing under one of the best young italian coaches and hopefully leading us to glory.

I understand that feeling but I have a stronger feeling that is, wanting this team to thrive and win and for that we will need the best possible roster possible and if some of those youngsters need to move for us to do it, I’m fine with that happening.

tons of moving parts: Kean to Fiorentina -- awesome move. Get us Calafori!! If that means Gatti, so be it. I do struggle with this because Gatti bleeds for the badge. Do we owe him loyalty since he shows it to us? Sancho- yes, please. Watching him in UCL he was outstanding. Koopmeiners- IDK if he's needed but if it happens ok.. Salamakers -boh If it's what Tiago wants, I'm indifferent. Keep Chiesa, I want to see what he can do under Motta. , same with Soule and Huijsen

Not sure we owe Gatti anything tbh. I’ve said for a while a lot of the roster imo is here because we’ve been handcuffed repairing the damage from covid and the previous regime. Same thing with our young guys and Next Gen, only those of elite caliber should remain, otherwise we keep things moving.

Why is Bayern willing to let Kimmich go? Bremer, Calafiori, Rugani, Danilo, Djalo and Gatti is six CBs with two also being able to play as FB (though I never want to see Danilo there again), and one has to go. I like Gatti, but he's the right pick both technically and financially.

Not happy with the thought of losing not only Chiesa but the loss of any Italian identity of this squad. Last season 5-6 starters were Italian and now it’s looking like aside from Di Gregorio and Califiori (if we get him) only 2 and none on the offensive side.

@@Pat647 Chiesa is better than Sancho or any other replacement we can bring in. Not only that but I’ve seen us have Italian talent we sold off early or never gave a proper chance to (immobile, Giovinco, candreva to name a few) I understand not all Juventini are of Italian blood but I am and became a fan in 94 solely because we had 9-10 starters that were Italian.

I like Gatti but if selling him makes Calafiori possible? That's a no brainer. I like Kean too but it was clear he needed a change of scenery. Wish him well.

Overall the idea of this mercato is good. We have so many unwanted players and we are pushing them out thru exchange deals. Honestly if we managed to sell half of our unwanted players, it would be a big success. Still waiting for the later stages of mercato when we actually get our main targets (koopmenirs, Calafiure, RB, and a forward player) Sancho and Kimich are good players but wont come because of thier high salaries. We are done with such players, especially when we are losing our own who are asking for higher salaries or dont agree to reduce or distribute their high salaries.

Anyone else slightly concerned with the amount of changes we are making this year? Don’t get me wrong im happy we are seeing players of juve caliber coming. But on the other hand I don’t want us to pull a 17/18-18/19 milan. We also need a lot of squad depth. 4 competitions is not easy to balance.

I am a little bit but mostly not concerned with it and the reason is, the team will undergo a drastic shake up simply in playing style in moving to Motta’s game so for me I actually don’t think it’ll be a detriment at all.

I’m keeping Gatti. Only reason to sell him in my opinion is if it’s the only way possible to bring in Calafiori. I absolutely love him so it would be extremely sad to lose him. For me it would hurt even more than Chiesa leaving.

Sell gatti for 25mil immediately even.. That's an amazing deal Huijsen for 30mil is a good deal Both out and califiore in its worth it. Swap chiesa for kimmich is amazing as well. Retegui is not good enough for 40mil

I feel like we are signing players to replace the fact that we won’t get koop. Also I wouldn’t sell chiesa looking at the forward market as of now. Sancho isn’t doing it for me.

I kinda feel that way but the path is still there for Koop. Right now, I feel like we are moving to prep for no Rabiot return, despite the journalists saying Thuram doesn’t stop that deal.

Thuram sends one of his sons to Juve l like that, sancho is perfect target, Gatti is ok but he is not trustable defender, Kimmich is very smart move

Gatti, i would like 2 keep, but it's sacrifice for califiore, then do it. Have feeling salemakers will join, and im ok with that. Let's push xavi loan and forget koop. Let's see what happens with barbieri. Hopefully, he can be part of the team. If not, let's try for perisi. Also wuats going on with arturo? He has 2 go

Sancho and greenwood are expensive man u mistakes that we should avoid imo. Cheap non committal loans are an option - but we cant get roped into the contracts, overhead and issues these players bring with them. Its totally a buyers market for them.

I like Gatti a lot and that love for the badge he shows is because of the opportunity we gave him, now having said that I think we should look at other sales before his for sure BUT… I’m not stopping a Calafiori deal over him

Sanch-Hell-NO! No overhyped English players! Especially on loan! What's the point in building with a player that then you need to find a replacement for in 1 year already? Makes no sense to me. I'd rather keep Soule and bite the bullet in terms of experience. Maybe we wouldn't have a player that is field tested yet (in UCL), but I'd much rather give him a go and then bring in somebody next year if he isn't quite up to par, than going with a loan that we are certain to need a replacement for in a year...No more quick fixes, no skipped steps in this rebuild...let's do it properly by laying the right foundations, even if it takes a bit longer!

What would make sense is the forward pool is kind of weak for targets for us. So if we are heading for a Chiesa break Sancho could help and give us time to sort out something moving on afterwards. My hope is Chiesa comes to his senses and accepts what’s in front of him though.

@@AllJuveCast agreed, hopefully Chiesa renews with a 1 year bumper deal at least...and if not I agree with your logic in theory, but from experience we've never had any particularly successful loan deals that I can remember. Considering our record with loans, I'd rather just take our chances with Soule and bring in Salamimaker for 10m as rotation player. I 150% feel he would be more useful than Sancho, and his salary would be cheaper...AND he remains part of the team the following year...I don't know, I just have no faith in this move whatsoever...

@@otto_jk that would apply if we bought Sancho...we cannot afford to buy him, this is exclusively a 1 year loan move...which means he leaves after a year and we earn nothing.

The big IF, is if that offer actually comes in. Keeping him would be good if Chiesa does in fact leave. I don’t think we can let both go and there’s multiple places Soulé could potentially help us with Motta’s system either as a 10 or on the wing. I’m with you though, if that offer comes in you almost have to take it.

We cannot green light everything Motta wants and no way to SaladMakers. We already have to live with Danilo FFS and no more Sandro's and De Sciglio's. Thuram is A+ but in a two man middle with Luiz concerns me. We tried this in 2018 with Fernandinho and Casemiro, then with Paulinho and having two ball destroyers leads to a traffic jam. Bring in as we need to expand the squad for CL but together not sure. Kimmich news is more a rarity than Hakan. It goes nowhere not just due to the salary which he won't lower but they went big on Olise and have that role covered with Coman as well unless he moves to the EPL. But still doubt they move for him. Better to stay put and not take the drive thru vacancy that Weston has put himself in.

@@AllJuveCast SaladMakers can toss salad elsewhere. Not even in the Belgium squad and it's not that hard to get into this side given their talent pool has dried up. Cheap or not cheap, Milan don't want him back and that speaks volumes as their ownership is doing the Spursy 2.0 When you get a cheap plasterer expect a cowboy job lol.
