This song reminds me of my dear and beloved grandpa. He was with brain cancer and 81 years on him. But he was a warrior , i listened with him this song every day .. We saw the sky turn night blue and the light of houses turning on like this picture. He passed out in July 28 . God only knows how much i miss him :( . This song was a sing of something better for him and for me. I took care of him in all his sickness this song makes us feel better. Metalhead here. Thanks to Keane, I began my journey to being an avid rock and metal fan. Extremely catchy song with blissful melodies. And love that Ah, oh the singer does at 2:25 - utter delight for my ears.

Keane is my nr 1 band. Have seen them 6 times and it was super every single time. I think they do not get enough recognition. The emotion that I feel whenever I listen to their music is unparalleled. They are the soundtrack of my life since hopes and fears. No other group makes me feel like they do. All songs are great but my favorites are: Myth, try again, bedshaped, he used to be a lovely boy, thin air and put the radio on. Keane forever !!!

I never heard of Keane until a couple of days ago when I was searching for good songs. "Somewhere Only We Know" is one of the best songs I ever heard! I want to listen to some more of Keane's songs. Now I've found this, "Silenced By the Night". This is not half-bad!

Me too I was blown away big time! Heard it for the first time 4am on the radio this morning half asleep but knew it was them straight away. Amazing truly amazing. Have all their albums to date but think this new one is gonna top them all. Very rare to find such talented guys these days who make music that really matters. As soon as you listen to their albums time seems to stand still and you forget just for a little while about life troubles:)
