Just sharing my brief experience at Oking hospital, kohima. I was admitted on account of severe nausea and migraine attacks and was administered IV drips for the same. The IV site began to ache and swell almost immediately. Over the next few days after being discharged, the veins in my arm became increasingly painful and lumpy. Dark, rope-like swellings appeared under my skin, tracking along the paths of the veins. I went back to the hospital to inform about the persisting pain but barely got to speak with the doctor and there was another doctor whose arrogance was such that he spoke with a condescending tone and blatantly ignored my grievance and simply scribbled some ointment. The lumps and pain persisted for weeks after discharge, leaving me with lingering discomfort and visible marks on my arm. After my terrible experience, i just want those who are planning to make a visit to the same hospital to reconsider your decision and be aware of the incompetency on part of doctors and nurses before making hasty visits also they shouldn't forget that they are making a fortune at the patient's expense and not the other way round.
