Hi, thanks for the video. The fault code in the end: non-permissible current value on unlock line, what does that mean? Is that related to the action that you left driver door open but manually locked it?

Nice, i have always wondered how ISTA P works, i have only used D. Do you know if there is somewhere we can see whats changed in newer software updates? Like a changelog. Do you have the orginal icom from bmw or is it a copy? I saw the orginal for sale and it didnt seem to expensive actually, the clones seems to almost cost the same. Guess the software is what costs.

Love the channel! Good to see interesting content on BMWs! Keep it up! Just curious: why only reprogram the DME to a firmware which it already has? Then why write the new I-level when only the DME is running at that integration level? BMW takes great care to release only a complete configuration. This way you have an untested set of firmwares running together. Probably the reason why ISTA+ only lets you program the whole configuration.

Dear, this is a great video tutorial!!! I have just 1 important question. In best cause all processes will be like shown in this video BUT... in my cause ( and not only ) ISTA/P ask to replace some module??? For example FRM3 module that have no any problems and work OK ( and is OK according ISTA/D too ). This module was updated outside the car because of software crash and I thing this is a reason ( updated with last possible version ). How to update other modules without problems with this one. Cannot remove it - remove from measure plane but still exist after determination plane is calculating. Is there any solution???

Can someone please tell me some examples what features, function are added, or refined with an Integration update. Are there any noticeable changes when driving, using the car, or perhaps a more efficient operation, so it is worth the hassle? I usually keep all my PC software updated the very moment a new version gets released, and I feel the urge to do it on my 2017 F15 X5 also. Are there 'release notes' from BMW somewhere that lists what changes between versions (integrations)? Are there any risk, downside of an upgrade?

Thanks for your videos, Maybe someone can help, I successfully installed ista P and can read the car but before I can do anything I asks me a IBAC code, don't know what it is or where to get it, if I close that window it will shut down ista P, I changed my TRSCV module but need to program it as it comes from another series

Greetings sir. Your video on programming BMW is excellent. It answered many questions I had. I have a 2011 F11 and it is on the factory software. I wondered if there had been any refinements in the gearbox control and DDE unit over the years and would like to update some of my modules. I wonder if you know if the updates for these example modules would show any difference to how the car operates? Im not clear on the i-level and how updating a single control unit affects the operation of the other control units. Thank you for your video and your time :) Thom

No, you don't need it, even on the E series you use the most adapter only if you do a software update on multimedia systems

Salut, super video! Am inceput sa urmaresc video-urile tale care sunt nu numai bine filmate, ci si clare cu explicatii. Foarte instructive! Vreau sa te intreb si o chestie personala, am un E90 diesel din 2010 si imi apare eroarea 93D6 Central control unit - SG is not locked. Asa am luat masina acum vreun an, totul merge bine, nu are nici o problema, dar ma deranjeaza ca apare eroarea asta si ramane si dupa ce sterg erorile. Ai idee care ar fi problema?

Salut ! Pe masina ta ai un bun exemplu la ceia ce am explicat eu in acest video , modulul tau de airbag a fost reprogramat si cel mai probabil a fost cu winKFP , si cum am specificat, sa schimbat doar softul in unitatea de airbag fara a mai face pasi necesari pre si post programming ! in momentul de fata in caz de accident teoretic nici un airbag (capsa pirotehnica ) nu va fi detonata ( adica airbagurile nu vor sari / activa ) ! pentru remediere va trebui reprogramare facuta cu istaD !

You didn't understand, the navigation can fail when programming in the software writing step, and from ilevel 2018 on the car, you can't use istaP anymore, you need to use ista+ and in ista+ you can't deselect the navigation modules from programming if you have a newer ilevel ista

Bravo, Felicitari pentru cele mai detaliate explicatii - ma gandesc sa-mi instalez si eu ISTAP - pana acum am utilizat un Vlink si bimmer pt diverse tweakuri o intrebare: daca portul OBD2 nu are power (pt Vlink wifi) pot sa folosesc cablul si ista sa verific err de pe FEM(am facut un scurt la plafoniera si nu mai am 12 v pe plafoniera si OBD port s-a ars FEM ? toate sigurantele sunt ok, am verificat cu tester- F30 2013) Multumesc si succes!

Salut! nu ar trebui sa se intample nimic daca ai facut scurt in plafoniera ,scurt la becurile plafonierei! dar daca nu ai alimentare pe portul OBD va trebui facute niste investigatii amanuntite, intri manual in istaD cu seria masini si acolo ai acces la wiring diagram pentru a incepe diagnosticarea..

You need to have voltage over the threshold , I have set the power supply to 14,5 because will be some voltage drop across the wiring and connection..

From what I se they are doing the same thing ,in either mode when is a big demand on amperage the power supply make voltage spikes and is not Bueno!

Is the 40 Amps of the charger really needed? I have 8 Amps on my car battery charger. If yes, as an option I have a huge Agilent lab power supply device (it weighs 30kgs) capable of 0-30V 0-60A (I'm an electronic engineer). I guess I set it to a voltage limit of 14.7 and large enough current limit, it'll do it.

For flashing the modules absolutely, BMW recommends up to 100A for latest models.

Hello, it will work widout coding, ideal is to code it to be associated with the car, if your car is LCI you need an LCI antenna the non-LCI won't work. And if you have the correct antenna and still doesn't work you have a different problem or the antenna is bad.

Bunā ziua donu Ovidiu . Și eu am așa un laptop cu toate programele de BMW pe el dar nu știu să programez nimic . Îmi este frică , ca fac prosti la masinā . Se poate să mă ajutați să învāz cu se programează ? Bine înțeles contra cost . Cu respect Marius

Salutare Ovidiu! Te rog mult, spune-mi si mie de cati amperi este sursa? Doresc sa cumpar un dr.charge 50 dar in specificatii spune ceva de 45A. Este ok sau trebuie neaparat de 50A?Multumesc frumos!

Salut, sursa este doctor charge 50 , acum depinde pe ce masini vrei sa lucrezi, daca ai posibilitati, ia-o pe urmatoarea: doctor charge 130, care e mult mai scumpa dar si mai puternica

@@MOvidiu Multumesc tare mult! Momentan o sa merg si eu pe un doctor charge 50 ca al tau, nu am buget foarte mare și momentan o fac doar din pasiune si o voi folosi doar pe Bmw. Numai bine și cat mai multe clipuri! 🙂👍
