The computer decided who they must imitate, then they have to study the star(s), rehearse and then perform in front of a large studio audience. In previous rounds they impersonated The Three Degrees, Lady Marmelade, The BeeGees amongst others but in the final they did sensational impersonations of Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicky Menaj, all in full costume and make up. They are called TNT boys because they are discovered from a local singing competition which is called "Tawag ng Tanghalan" or TNT. They joined in the same season individually, however no one from them won and then they became a group when they were a guest in "Gandang Gabi Vice", a lte night sunday program, where they sang listen. The rest is history. If im not mistaken their coach is also from "Tawag ng Tanghalan", Froilan Canlas, if Im not mistaken.

TNT in TNT Boys stands for Tawag Ng Tanghalan (It translates as "the call to perform"... or something like that) It's a singing contest in the Philippines where they joined as solo contenders. When they were formed as a group they were called the TNT Boys coz people recognized them as the boys from Tawag Ng Tanghalan where their career started.
