I think you did a great job with the apple. It doesn't look like it is blocky or like it's made of clay.

Great video. I think what might also be making people think of Thiebaud is the halation/transition colors along some of the edges which make the colors pop; which was a hallmark of his style.

Yes to everything, beautiful painting. The greens look great, what blues and yellows have you mixed? I once made a banana on this style but only accomplished painters sell little pantings with fruits and Im not one of them LOL...it was a good light/shadow excercise anyway. Your time-lapse videos with the process are a must.

Beautiful! This might sound weird but when I look at shadows I don’t see purple or blue. I know it’s common to paint them that way and I really like it but I don’t see it. I paint them that way just because I like the effect. Is there something wrong with the way I’m seeing shadows?
