Thank you for this beautiful lesson, Ryan. I have been looking to learn this kind of picking and strumming style of playing. This song has been in my head ever since I watched the movie "O brother, where art thou?" :)

Really nicely put together - Do your lesson materials and downloads include the individual rhythm and accompaniment tracks for use in a DAW?

Thanks very much! I've done audio tracks a few different ways over the years but for this tune I've included three speeds and each speed has a lead part that plays along with the 'band/accompaniment ' and one that doesn't have lead. So, it would just be the accompaniment part playing (rhythm guitar, bass, shaker...). They are all MP3 tracks so yes, you could throw them in the DAW.

I’m probably a minority but I actually prefer the simple “ front porch” version of most songs. Things get so fancy and advanced that the melody is often lost in a sea of notes. What most call “ beginner” version are the BEST versions in my opinion 👍🏻

I try to keep my solos simple yet tasteful. 🙂
