Pro oyster farmer, how cool. I love oysters. I like them raw, but our bay system is often restricted due to pollution. Not many farms here that I know of but they do seed teh oyster reefs. Man now I'm hungry.

Hi John! I purchased 18 oysters today and need to transport them by car on a two day trip. We aren’t leaving until tomorrow. Is it best to put them in the refrigerator for the day with the method you showed in the video and then put them on ice in a cooler tomorrow? Or will they be fine in the cooler for the next three days (today + 2 travel days) as long as I keep them iced and water off them. When they are in the cooler should they bag be sealed or left open slightly to allow are in? Thank you so much
@WILLITGROW8 ай бұрын
hello betty thank you for the question. keep them in the fridge till your ready to travel. just put them in a cooler with ice on top of them.if the ice melts in your travel get rid of the water and add fresh ice.once you get to where your going keep them cold and enjoy them.
