This little sensor I found works really well in keeping our humvees operating at much cooler temperatures vs stock!

Hey Ben, Thanks for the great videos. I have a 1097A2 so anything you are doing on those I would be very interested in. I have my thermostat and fan switch inbound but please keep up the great videos on these! -Mike

looks great. I hear these things are very slow and only do like 55 to 60MPH on the freeway.
@TheCoralSniper14 күн бұрын
Very common misconception, the old 3 speed humvess could reliably run upto 55mph ish but could be pushed closer to redline a fair bit faster (more like 65mph) These newer 4 speed trucks can do 70mph plus reliably. Also fuel economy is not as bad as rumors say, average 11 mpg

I always wondered if a coolant radiator mounted on the roof would help with removing the heat from the engine bay and freeing up space for larger independant heat exchangers/ ac/ trans etc. up front.
@TheCoralSniperАй бұрын
I'm sure it would help very much! That angled radiator has a hard time dissipating heat especially at higher speeds! The red dot AC kits sometimes mounted the condensers on the roof like you are saying, they work very well I hear.

@@TheCoralSniper Rerouting the non engine coolant heat exchangers to the roof may be an option allowing a larger engine coolant radiator and I know the trans, Ac, engine oil and diffs etc would benefit from the extra cooling of a roof mounting instead.

Looks amazing! What top did you use on this, and what center console is that?
@TheCoralSniper14 күн бұрын
I used a PlanB hard top and custom made the center console

I thought you were going to show a homemade paradox coolkit.

I have seen those and studied it a bit, seems to have mixed opinions on if it helps or not. I just figured if I could lower the overall coolant temp it would help those rear cylinders out a bit! Plus these optimizer blocks are improved over the old chevy ones.

Did you body lift your humvee, cause I see the springs are oem, but it sits higher than an oem humvee
@TheCoralSniper29 күн бұрын
Yes I did, I always do a 3" body lift on my humvees, I made a video of what all is involved
