Hey man. You often talk about how important are blackworms for your fish but could you maybe tell us how exactly do you keep and breed them? I don't know much about it but a video on them or just on live foods in general would be awesome I think.

This please! I've kept them alive in fish tanks for months after buying them (they really just require lots of air bubbling and pothos and java) but have not ever had them multiply in any way that is a sustainable culture. (though, that could have been just how many i was feeding at the time...)

I ' ve some problems with them cause blackworms are hosts of parasites. For example they are intermediate hosts of tapeworms

@@creationsbyblu9563 black worms multiply asexually, you have to cut them in half and then the two parts will grow separately on their own

I just like to add a kind suggestion as an old aquarium lover. I used to do the breeding tiger barbs this way of buying 15 small ones, raising them with high protein diet untill the females got about 5 cmm when the miles of same group were 3.5 to 4 cm. Then I used to close the ratio of 2 females+3 males or 3 females +4 males . The breeding tank is best when it is 40cm width or more when the length should be 80 to 100 meter. I used to set a fine cotton mesh with about 200 pores/inch² the way that it srayed 5 cm above the botten of the aquarium . The depth of the water was not more than 25 cm totally including the 5 cm space at the botten. The Zebras lay aggs mostly near to sunset almost 70% of time. 2 days after transfering the fishes, the males are chasing the females in a very continous pantern and if you have time, you can see them lay eggs multiple times and about 10 eggs each time every 5 to 10 minuter during 2-3 hours. They will do it the day after if you feed them with living food but meticulously controlled by means of no remnant food in the aquarium. After 2 days I got used to transfer the breeders to their own aquarium letting them have more space with high quality food when the eggs got hatched even as 1000 baby fishes. I have done this technique so many times and I used to sell baby tigers in 100 to 500 packages. The only thing that could prevent me to do it 4 times a month was limitation of my time unless I would be able to raise 4 to 5 thousands of Tiger barbs every month. I am sure that this metod works very well. With best regards.

This is awesome content! I've been wanting you to breed brabs for a while now, but you should really consider a prettier barb that could possibly be bred for profit. The "Black Ruby Barb" is picturesque. Gorgeous but aggressive. Also, "Gold Barbs" are beautiful as well and easier to breed. Keeping on breeding and putting out amazing content. I'm rooting for you 🤟

You make really great videos! I love baby barbs! Sometimes they will stripe young but then lose stripes when they get older. Barbs are trickle spawners which means they lay only a few eggs a day.

If you find yourself having trouble with larva developing in your breeding bins before the fry have mouths big enough to eat them, you can throw BT (Bacillus thuringiensis) in there in either bit form or liquid form. It needs to be replaced roughly every 2 weeks, so in theory you dose once and after 2 weeks the fry just eat the larva.

Hey Nick, thats kinda how my first zebra danio breeding went, put them in the basket for a few days, when I removed the basket to put the danios back in their tank, I couldnt see any eggs, but low and behold after a week I had over one hundred fry swimming around the tank... what a surprise. Have you ever spawned harliquin rasboras? i'm thinking on trying the basket method, with big leaf plastic plants in the basket...

Love the video keep up the good work but I feel like some things are important for you to know with barbs. One thing to Note is that there eggs are adhesive so always check the Coco fiber next they are a larval fish so don't do anything to drastic in the beginning because it could impact development and other than that you are doing great keep up the good work
