I have been wanting to get back into the water at Keiki but due to my injury I sustained last time I was in Hawaii, I chose not to get in with a board but instead trade it in for the new GoPro Hero 10. Shooting with this camera is a dream and you can see how well it handled the situations I put it in. Although I was losing some of the highlights when filming, overall I was super impressed by how it handled and I will be back out there again soon!

Awesome footage! Can't wait to test my GoPro 10 there too :-) It can get scary there, 2019 Clark Little and I were the only ones out and the waves were huge, we both got worked. The water was so full of air, that it was very difficult to surface. Sadly there's no way to post pictures or links here so I could share the session here. The best place for glassy perfect slow motion would be Mākua Beach on the Westside. Its quite a long drive and obviously needs some west/south swell. Thanks again for the great footage!

I grew up bodyboarding Big Beach on Maui and it breaks so similar to Keiki's but smaller. I would love to rush this place one day. I can't believe there isn't 500 people there.

Use spit on the lens constantly. Just dunk before wave comes. Press record and then boom!

How dangerous is it sitting at a shore break like that? When I went to Hawaii last year I wanted to get in the water so bad but living near a beach my whole life I have a ton of respect for the ocean, Where I live there's always the potential to get sucked out deep if you don't know what your doing.
