Yoely Lebewitz sings to the crowd at Keiravtuni, telling over a powerful and emotional story which he not only witnessed but was involved with himself.
The story begins after Yoely was hired to perform as Badchen at a specific wedding and the family of the Chosson refused to help him with the necessary information he would need to call up the Chosson's father.
Yoely, having grown up himself with friction between his parents, was all too familiar with this scenario. He told the family that they should kindly find another Badchen since there is no way he will participate in a wedding where a father will not have the honor to dance with his son.

as a father to children whose parents are divorced, i can identify with every word written here. Mothers are the incarnation of SATAN with the way they alienate their children from their father. (i know it works the other way too, but this is the most common form). every word he says is true,, and Kudos to Yoeli who refused to sing coz he didnt have the heart to hurt the father. to anyone who understands what he is talking about, you will do what i did when i listened to this song. Wow I just stumbled again upon to this video I was estranged and alienated from my children for 13 years.. I can tell you the pain of a father being alienated from his children is unbearable.. Reb Yoel is a hero for sharing his personal story.. I've done a lot of effort to end this injustice.. I agree with wholeheartedly. Even if a parent isn't on the same path religiously he or she still has the right to be a parent... People who leave Judaism shouldn't be vilified to their kids considering they're still sane human beings and caring parents.
