same w carls jr funnily enough. in terms of main like meal menu items the review was like glowing aside from the char broiled chickens and the one veggie burger iirc and even those weren't super negative. he basically said "the flavor is fine the texture is just weird and bad" for the chickens and "i dont like the beyond meat" for the burger. also the cookie stunk but its like barely not a chips ahoy soft cookie

@@jaydebalfour9951 I feel you on that one, Nandoes is always fire. In South Africa, we actually have 6 chicken flavor levels. Tangy Tomato, Lemon and Herb, Mozam Paprika, Mild, Hot, Extra Hot. The first 3 levels are for the uninitiated... The last 3 are the OG flavors.

Probably because there's not a lot of carbs. The chicken isn't deep fried. It's pretty healthy compared to most fast food restaurants

I found out that I was celiac about 3 years ago, and Nando’s has so much that I can eat and it’s FUCKING DELICIOUS. Bless the Peri-Peri The lemon herb sauce is so good that I bought a giant bottle and put it on everything. The classic medium and hot sauces are also delicious. The mashed potatoes are my holy grail side dish and will be for the rest of my life.

Fun fact about the origins of Nando’s: The Portuguese used to hold one of the largest empires in the world at one point. When they discovered chili peppers in South America they imported some into their colonies in Mozambique. The people native to Mozambique then adopted the chili peppers into their culture and made PERi-PERi chicken. The reason why Nando’s is a South African based company is that when the Portuguese decided to attack the people of Mozambique for wanting to be independent, many of the pro-Portuguese people started moving to South Africa because they were allies with Portugal. One of the pro-Portuguese people of this time was none other than Nando Duarte, who would then go on to found Nando’s. The company has since made numerous progressive actions to amend for past actions.

I’ve been binge watching eating the menu and i just want to praise Alex for always being game in tasting anything. I’m an adventurous eater and I always appreciate ppl who try stuff for the first time . They may not like it and they won’t eat it a second time but at least they tried it. *also i love how keith just gives him a very small piece to try. that’s so caring hahaha

It's casual dining, it's way better having the food in the resturant b/c it's less soggy than in the takeaway stuff. It's like if you ate in at pizza hut that doesn't make pizza hut fancy. I'm glad they had the macho peas in the US version! Best side dish. Also did you know a fair few of the nandos have reopened during lockdown so they can make some extra cheeky nandos for NHS crew?
