The Dutch first made coleslaw (koolsla). It ís a strange attempt at salad because cabbage actually keeps over winter, unlike lettuce. It's what you do when salad is out of season. Cabbage, carrots, eggs, they're all ingredients that keep.

Honestly, the Honey chicken SOUNDS better, based on what they were saying about how it tasted, but that Korean chicken just looked really, REALLY good. YB seems so sweet. I'd go try some cheesling for her!

I’ve really enjoyed the last few videos in particular, including this one! YB and Joyce are awesome cohosts…Joyce is GOLD! The videos at the theme parks, especially the race to do all of them, have been fun to watch and reminiscent of some OG style content with new faces. Love where things are going!

I think you should turn "Without a recipe" on its head, and have the Try Guys learn to make something from a master, and then have them create their own twist on it. Instead of making the best of the worst, I want to see them make the best of the best. See them on top of their game. :)

@@tylerwhorff7143 I have to wonder if that’s because the show premise wasn’t good, or because an audience on KZfaq isn’t necessarily transferable to other media? Would the show have been successful as another KZfaq product instead?

I live in South Korea and the first dinner I had here in 2015 was fried chicken! There was both fried, yangnyeom, and cheese powder. I love the first two but had the same reaction as Keith and Joyce for the cheese powder one 😂it was way too chemical and sweet for my taste. As a Belgian I really like cheese so that really didn't taste anything like cheese, but Koreans seem to not like the strong cheese flavor as much. I've seen pizzas come with a side of honey or fresh cream (yes, you read that right) to curve the taste of cheese. Food is also a lot sweeter in general than in Europe, although I can't say for the US, I've never been there. So yeah chips are sweet (unless they're salt flavour, everything else is sweet or sweet-ish), ritz crackers are sweet, cheese flavored stuff is sweet. Even garlic bread is sweet and I know that's causing really bad surprises and despair among foreigners here because most people I mention the garlic bread to immediately scream "It's SWEET! How can they do that to garlic bread??" but Koreans seem to love it that way. I also ordered garlic chicken once and the garlic sauce was sweet. It was weird to say the least. My biggest sadness is that all things that should be purely savory are a little sweet, and things that should be sweet like desserts aren't sweet enough. It's like everything has the same level of sweetness. I wish there would be more difference.

16:30 My guess on why it's called "huraideu" instead of "fried" is there is no "F" sound in the Korean language. I've seen people write "Hwaiting" instead of "Fighting" during my early 2000's Kdrama days.

I think her question was more geared towards the fact that it’s called 후라이드 (huraideu) instead of 프라이드 (peuraideu). As in, why they don’t resort to the “p” sound as they often do instead of “h”. :)

When I saw them getting Mala tteokboki I was waving my hands in front of the screen like it would stop them. Isn't mala very Szechuan pepper forward? It brought me back to the noodle challenge they did (also with YB and Eugene!) and I was like, "Keith, noooooo you already know you won't like it!" Keith's stomach must be made of lead, just thinking of the mala tteokboki is making me imagine the absolute pain my GERD would put me through if I ate even a bite of that.
